So, no charges against Smollett. No reason to prosecute him, according to the DA. Does this mean that they will pursue charges against others? If police don't continue investigating, it means no crime occurred. After all, they are obligated to investigate crimes and then charge people, correct? If they drop the entire thing, it means there was no attack on Smollett. If there was no attack, then he lied about the whole thing. Money was wasted on an investigation, a false police report was filed and he hired the two brothers to stage the whole thing.

And if you are a liberal in Chicago, it is not illegal to break the law. That is the only conclusion one can come to after watching this unfold.

The lame excuse is that cops said he did it at a press conference and that meant no fair trial. Show me one completed investigation where cops and the DA didn't say the suspect was guilty and that they would prove it. Trump was declared guilty by every Dem before an investigation even started. It may have affected the election, which is collusion. Did they find anything wrong with that, even when there was no evidence like there is in the Smollett case?

This is nothing more than Dems protecting their own. Had this been a conservative accusing a liberal of a crime and making the whole thing up, we would see the person doing hard time.

First point, someone asking doesnt mean that was the cause. If you are stating he was let off because the Obama's intervened you are a hack conspiracy theorist and no better than all the boogeymen you probably raved about.

Second point, news coverage is news coverage. The correct initial response to smollets situation was shock and serious pursuit of justice based on what we knew - which includes verifying his statement. An incorrect response would be to assume it's false and dismiss it, which seems to be what you and the crew are suggesting when something like this comes up. Well, it was correctly seriously pursued and it turned out to be an actual hoax - an entirely fabricated accusation and situation (not trumps and right wing mainstream medias false definition of hoax towards Russian collusion).

Smollett needs to be punished. I'd say jail time to punish him and discourage others from trying it.
