Absolutely, yes.

He would have used pistols and/or a shotgun or multiple shotguns.....or he would have gotten an illegal gun to do it...just like they did in France..where AR-15s and even fully automatic weapons are completely illegal....you can't buy them you can't own them.....there are no gun stores there are no gun shows.....

And the French have fewer civil rights than we do....

they have all the gun control the anti gunners want....x 100.....

And terrorists on government, terrorist watch lists got fully automatic weapons and murdered 140 people and injured hundreds more......

So yes...if he had wanted to do this without an AR-15 he would have and the body count would have been the same...

But.....gun banners want that gun...though it stops no crime and stops no mass shooting.....and when the next shooting happens...whatever gun is used...that will be the next gun they want banned......

Simple reality is the fact humans kill and unless humans are willing to ban humanity then no amount of banning of objects will stop the human race from killing each other.

So I would not ban any guns...
