A Lebanon man has been charged after police said he paid acquaintances in cash and drugs to purchase as many as 12 firearms for him, according to city police and prosecutors.
Hector Espada-Jimenez, 26, of the unit block of South Ninth Street, used two different men to make straw purchases of firearms for him between March 5, 2013, and April 14, 2013, according to a Lebanon County District Attorney's Office news release issued earlier Friday.
Police said that, for each of the purchases, Espada-Jimenez would pay the men with drugs or money.
