Nope , thats called every car my mom and dad had. At some point us 7 kids and dad did the pushing and mom popped the clutch. Its how you get it started and running

I had a 1957 chevy during high school with 3 on the tree shifting.
Usually tried to park it on the street facing downhill just in case. ...

I've done that many times with various vehicles. We used to push cars with automatic transmissions with another car. Once you exceed 45 MPH, put it in drive and it will start. One of my friends decided to sit on the hood of the push car to hold onto a tire that was being used as a bumper pad between the vehicles. I wasn't there, but apparently, something bounced the wrong way, and he fell in between the cars and was killed instantly.
