So would you prefer us agnostics to call ourselves atheists? So beats the uncertainty of trying so hard to make yourself believe in something that can't be proven, has never been proven and to be frank sounds like nonsense. That is why they have to get reborn so often and fall of the wagon. They loose faith, and then find it when they hit rock bottom and find it again only to loose it. Why not just admit what you do not know?

Nope. The agnostic quote was just a quip that the OP brought to mind. It's humor.

To me "atheism" sounds like an absolute that one hasn't a basis to conclude. Not unlike climate change denial. But that's beyond the scope of this thread, which was a simple perversion of what the term atheism means.
