GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two students were facing charges in connection with a shooting at a South Carolina high school, including a teen who was shot when a gun fired accidentally on Friday morning, authorities said.

Greenville County Sheriff's Lt. James Beaver said at a news conference that a 17-year-old student at Southside High School has been charged as an adult with unlawful carrying of a pistol, disturbing schools and carrying weapons on school property.

Why is he being charged when all the parents who let their toddler babies shoot themselves, each other, their parents get off?

Charge the parents for the crime of giving guns to babies.

In any event, sad about the kid but the nutters will say the only thing wrong is that the gun wasn't allowed and that there needs to be more guns in kids' backpacks and pockets and lunch bags.

Can't be...the school was a gun free zone

Jesus H Fucking Christ - right on cue.

You brainless idiots really do believe that if more kids had guns, there wouldn't be as many shootings.

Who would you rather have guns:

These guys illegally

Would you kindly show where anyone made that statement?

Perhaps from the standard assertion that armed citizens are better than cops at dealing with crime as an acute issue until the police can arrive?

Funny as hell, was living there at the time, about a mile away. Standing his ground against a gallon of milk.

They're working on changing it so that teachers and school security officers can concealed carry.

South Carolina bill could allow teachers to carry guns in the classroom

Our children's schools already have armed security, SC needs to catch up

Love the idea of becoming a police state so we can all be safe. Something like Mexico has with the Federales walking around.
