The term “Gadsden flag” was trending on X earlier on Tuesday as a video spread of a school administrator explaining to a mother and her son that her son could not return to class unless he left his backpack, which had a Gadsden flag patch on it, behind.

I say:

The 1st Amendment does not end at the schoolhouse gate. If the patch is not disruptive to the educational environment (that means actual disruption, not guesstimated disruption by some Snowflake), then it is a violation of the student's Constitutional rights to not permit it.

The kids are currently studying the Revolutionary War. Here is some background on this so-called racist flag....
