'Subpoena Kevin McCarthy If You Have To'; Democrats Urged To Bring Witnesses After Bombshell Report On Trump Call

Yep, he'd do the same Goddamned thing. And if he won and we survived another four years of his chaotic authoritarian regime, he'd attempt to remain for a third term - By COUP.

Actually Trump would pass the presidency as if he was a king or a dictator to the next generation of Trump.

It's over. Your witchhunt is over
You, and the entire republican caucus, only wish it was over.

You do know it's not only Trump who's on trial here, or being exposed..... don't you?
Republicans are talking about calling hundreds of witnesses, each of them deposed in Phil-e-delphia, at Trumps lawyers office. They talking about stretching this out for months.

Democrats are getting desperate in the attempt to prove Trump planned an insurrection obviously.
It might be a low brow and distasteful comment, but unfortunately for the Dems it has no relevance to wether Trump incited a mob that had already started their move before Trump even started his speech.
so what do you think about the president's call with McCarthy?

As usual, the Republican I enjoy the most is Mitch McConnell

After the House Impeached Trump ten days before the inauguration of a new President, Mitch complained he did not have enough time to conduct a trial. He suggested Democrats have a trial after the Inauguration. Then, when Dems have a trial, Mitch votes that it is un-Constitutional.

Days after the Jan 6 attack on Congress, Mitch proclaimed that Trump was responsible for the attack. Now, he is going to vote that Trump bears no responsibility.

He hates Eric and DJTJ - The crown would probably be passed to Ivanka. Lucky us! :rolleyes-41:

Update:

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the lead House impeachment manager, said Saturday morning that his team will seek to subpoena Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) to testify before the Senate about her knowledge of a phone conversation between Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) that took place during the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"When McCarthy finally reached the president on January 6 and asked him to publicly and forcefully call off the riot, the president initially repeated the falsehood that it was antifa that had breached the Capitol," Herrera Beutler said in a statement late Friday. "McCarthy refuted that and told the president that these were Trump supporters. That's when, according to McCarthy, the president said, 'Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are.'"

The Senate voted by a margin of 55-45 Saturday morning to open the door to calling witnesses.

This isn't going to go well.

The "kangaroo" trial is already a failure after they have been exposed in manufacturing/altering evidence and exposed for making a lie about what Representative Lee said.

This is clearly a political attack on Trump.
Really? So was McCarthy's conversation with the president another on of those "perfectly fine" phone calls the president has a reputation for?

Yes, they are quite cheesed at witnesses being called. It's the last thing they wanted.... when a verdict to acquit was already in the bag.

Especially when its a republican witness who's going to testify that Trump did nothing while his base was rioting and looting the capitol.

Too bad.

WOOOOOOW!

Trumps defense team... in council with Trump, has JUST ANNOUNCED that congresswomen Buetlers testimony was true. They just admitted Trump did nothing after conferring with McCarthy's pleas for him to issue a statement to stop the rioters.

I'm at lost for words.

and you point being? other that the dems continue to spin shit? Yes ANTIFA is known to have been there--sullivan is a member who reportedly took a bus with 226 other members of antifa to be there.

and yes the american people are very upset about the election being stolen from us-----------more so than the congress critters.

Trump just admitted.... that he did nothing....ALL THE WHILE KNOWING.....his base was attacking and looting the capitol and threatening death of congress members.

And.... he.... did.... nothing.

He just admitted it!

That is stunning.

What other PRIVATE CITIZENS are you trying to impeach?
The IMPEACHMENT occurred while Trump was in office.
Sorry but it only started----------once someone becomes a civilian then the impeachment process is ended.
No...it doesnt. Therehave been cases where people were impeached after they left office.

Trump thought it was Antifa attacking. Isn't that exculpatory?

If his "base" is all guilty, then Biden's base is responsible for 2 billion in DAMAGES and the many LIVES LOST

I notice you are ignoring several illegal events of this impeachment farce, the posted article makes that clear, why are you ignoring the evidence?

Meanwhile he wouldn't have been able to stop the riot anyway, which you democrats try hard to overlook, since many of the rioters are there to riot and planned for it two months earlier. Not only that it was the Speaker of the house and a number of democrats who IGNORED Trumps suggestion they add some NG there for that day, why do you ignore that?

Clinton was a victim of impeachment crap too since his sexual misbehavior behavior in the White House was NOT an impeachable offense,

Sounds like y'all should do something about that.

Oh you can't.

Because it's bullshit.

And y'all are in the...... minority.

That would be giving the impeached the means to avoid disqualification from office. One of the two judgments that conviction for impeachment carries.

They would not have made a mechanism that allows for such a judgment, and then give the impeached a means to escape that judgment. A judgment whose primary purpose isn't to punish the impeached, but to protect the integrity of the government from his influence.
