For the second year in a row the supreme court refused to reverse a ban on assault weapons and high capacity clips.

When was the last time anyone used a Thompson machine gun or had one? They were banned in the 1930s.

Now if we can get all those weapons banned nation wide we will see the mass murders decrease and eventually stop.

You can get a fully automatic weapon but you have to get a special license from the government. I know you guys believe that the court should rule over this country but it is actually a state's right to have laws regulating as much firearms as they want. It is under the tenth amendment, the limited powers of the federal, and the fact that no where in the constitution does it say a state can't ban a firearm if it chose to. The decision was correct.

The problem with mass murders is that a law banning semi-automatic weapons hasn't been passed? That is one is actually passed the criminals and terrorists using them will say, "Holy crap - these are illegal. We can't use them now"?!

If semi-automatic weapons are banned criminals, terrorists, and law-abiding citizens will all get rid of their weapons, will join hands in a circle, will sing Kum-bay-ah, and all the mass shootings and murders will simply end...

The issue is not the type of gun its the person behind the trigger. Enough has been said about the AR 15 to discredit ignorant political pundits that have no clue as to what an assault weapon is, nor the difference between semi, singular, and fully automatic capacity. The central issue is the justice department, commander in chief, policies, and inability to effectively monitor high risk individuals.
