Sorry but the clues and logic tell me that there is no smoke without fire. Every Islamic regime has used chemical/biological weapons against its own people to put down an uprising. The people have no say in how their lives are run so have only 3 options available

1) stay and nothing changes.

2) leave and possibly face the same elsewhere.

3) fight for change.

The regime will use every method at its disposal to hold on to power up to and including weapons of mass destruction against the people. They know if they win they will face a couple of lean years until the population is built up again and the circles is reformed.

Now it seems that all sides have access to the same weapons and will not think about not using them, so the only losers are the people who just want to be allowed to live a quiet life. This is the story of life in the whole Islamic world.
