FLAKE: I can tell you being at the memorial service last night and being in Tucson a bit this past week, it's been a community that's gone through a lot. And to see the community rally together and to celebrate those who are recovering, and to honor those who gave their lives and those who risked their lives to save the others, it's just an incredible experience all the way around. Reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, with no revisions, would simply mean that a public media would need to allot time to an opposing viewpoint if just one "side" to an issue had been aired. I'm old enough to recall that it was quite informative to have back to back opinions and not have to wait 24 hours until the blogosphere got ahold of something and started tearing it apart with lies and embellishments as if the ONE OPINION were true.

Host of the program, This Week, is Christianne Amanpour. The show will air at 7 a.m. Sunday on KGUN9-TV.Of course, you will be relieved to know that he is in for "observation".
Toward the end of the town hall meeting Saturday morning, one of the shooting victims, J. Eric Fuller, took exception to comments by two of the speakers: Ariz. state Rep. Terri Proud, a Dist. 26 Republican, and Tucson Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries. According to sheriffs deputies at the scene, Fuller took a photo of Humphries and said, Youre Dead. Deputies immediately escorted Fuller from the room.
Pima County Sheriffs spokesman Jason Ogan said later Saturday that Fuller has been charged with threats and intimidation and he also will be charged with disorderly conduct.
Among the dignitaries at the town hall taping were Mayor Bob Walkup, U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva and former Congressman Jim Kolbe.
ABC News dubbed the town hall, After the Tragedy: An American Conversation Continued. A press released stated that the event will restart the conversation that Giffords began. Among those who will join the Town Hall: family members of victims, citizens who took heroic action and community leaders, the press release stated.

One does have to wonder, if the Left and the MSM had not been pushing their fake template to score political points on this tragedy then maybe this poor man would have been OK.

So that's what, all tallied and including the massive mob scenes at town hall meetings the summer of 09, five thousand to one? Oh wait. There was that one black guy who was determined to be a plant at some TP rally, and another "leftie" who started a fight or something. So make it 5,000 to 3 of citizens taking on other citizens. How many of those screeching tea partiers are "in for observation"??

You're the one (or maybe Libapocalypse) is the one who brought up the Fairness Doctrine. Who is it that's scared? Not me, pal. The 24/7 political news cycle is decided by the right wing noise machine. Why would you object to someone from the left granted editorial space following a Glenn Beck rant, or someone from the right granted editorial space following a Keith Olbermann rant as a matter of policy by the respective channels?
