Ted Nugent to be guest of Rep Steve Stockman at Obama's State of the Union speech

He sure didn't look like the rock star of yesteryear.

Well, he, like all people, get older.

Getting older is the least of Ted Nugent's problems. He looked like a bum in that suit and he has never had much common sense at all. Did they think placing him in the room was going to make the president feel nervous? Why would anyone invite that slug?

Amen! He really is a "slug"...and on the NRA Board of Directors...

Their justification for embracing these psychos at the NRA? I don't get it. :cuckoo:

Simple. The NRA members love slugs with guns.

I loved the part where Ted stood up screaming...

They deserve a VOTE!

Yes, I'm QUITE sure that Ted Nugent will have plenty to say after the President's State of the Union speech. I guess the question is whether or not this invitation and Nugent's subsequent statements are more likely to help the GOP or hurt the GOP.

I would have to guess the latter outcome is far more likely.

While other members of Congress are hosting gun-control advocates for Tuesday's State of the Union address, Rep. Steve Stockman has given one of his visitor's gallery tickets to Ted Nugent, the conservative gun-rights supporter.

"I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama," Mr. Stockman said in a statement announcing the choice. "After the address I'm sure Ted will have plenty to say."
To the Republican USMBers...what do you think of that move by Mr. Stockman?

what do you care? I asked you what you thought of the media ignoring JZ covering up his gold champagne fountain when the Man of the people came by to grab some cash and the media ignored it but trashed Romney for a Hampton fund raisers?

answer me, I'll answer you...

What makes him a slug? I'd really like to know. Now on the other hand you come off as such an idiot and I'm trying to be nice here.

No offense but you are so stupid. Shows you are so city you can't think outside the box.

Nugent wasn't invited by Stockman to intimidate Obama or any Democrat.

Stockman was throwing down the gauntlet to the rinos.

Same reason the Democrats invited Tony Bennett.
Another slug.
Slug versus slug.

What makes either a slug?

Despite political differences, I like Tony. But I wouldn't go hunting with him.

On the other hand Ted can sing and hunt.

But neither men are slugs.

Both are talented and have opinions.

I know I'm not as smart about politics as some people here are, that's why I joined political message boards in the first place maybe 10 years or so ago. To learn.

I do post my own opinion and not someone elses though and I have become pretty good over the years. Maybe I am better looking than I am politically savvy but I have learned a lot.

Ya psycho.

Stockman thought it would get him votes from the far right, we'll see.

Nugent can sing?:cuckoo::cuckoo:
No, Ted was a hard rocker. My parents sold their farm in Alpharetta, Ga. to Rob Grange his long time bass player in 1980. Ted used to play Alex Cooley's Electric Ball Room all the time on Peachtree in Atlanta during the mid 70s and after my college days that was my hangout. Ted has always been a good guitar player but he sux as a singer.
I can hunt, anyone can hunt. Fishing is another story!
Both are talented and have opinions.
Slugs can do both.

Controversial rocker and State of the Union guest Ted Nugent previewed his trademark brand of political discourse on Tuesday, aggressively lashing out at a congressional critic who had denounced his presence at the address.
Ted Nugent Lashes Out At Jim Langevin: He's Got 'Sh*t For Brains'

Here's some of what Ted said in the article:
“Why don’t you talk to the Secret Service guys who visited me and concluded nothing even hinted a threat against the president."
Ted isn't much for logic, but then, I guess his biggest fans aren't either. Because if nothing even hinted at a threat against the president, the Secret Service wouldn't have visited him in the first place.
