Tennessee Passes Bill Rejecting Gun Control Imposed By International Law Or Treaty

Since when does the U.S. succumb to international law? Only in the twisted minds of retarded libs. IDIOTS!!!!!
Wrong.

It’s most on the ignorant right who believe international accords trump US laws and Constitutional jurisprudence, the Tennessee measure is evidence of that.

Consequently, neither you nor anyone else on the right are in any position to accuse others of being ‘idiots.’
I am accusing you and the left as idiots, I am just pointing out the factual obvious. No, it is the left that believe international law trumps the U.S. Constitution. Typical retarded lib trying to twist it around. IDIOTS!!!

We need somebody to unfuck America in the wake of that asshole's reign.
Red herring fallacy.

The thread topic is the stupidity common to most on the right.
Go suck a turd. Your opinion is worth less than zero.
Ad hominem fallacy.
You are the fallacy. You are pretending your opinion should trump everyone else's and then expect to be taken seriously.

If such an international treaty is signed by the President and approved the Senate, Tennessee's law means nothing.

I don't believe the Senate ever ratified that, so all this grandstanding was pointless anyway

Which laws has Congress passed governing the rules of land combat? Be specific.

The President can't make law via executive action, either, but there are many on the left that believe he can.

Tennessee Passes Bill Rejecting Gun Control Imposed By International Law Or Treaty

On Thursday, the Tennessee senate gave final approval to a bill that sets the foundation to stop enforcement of gun control imposed byinternational law or treaty.

House Bill 2389 would prohibit law enforcement officers from enforcing provisions of international law and treaties that limit gun rights as specified in the state’s constitution.

The bill reads:

On or after July 1, 2016, no personnel or property of this state, or any political subdivision of this state, shall be allocated to the implementation, regulation, or enforcement of any international law or treaty regulating the ownership, use, or possession of firearms, ammunition, or firearmaccessories, if the use of personnel or property would result in the violation of another Tennessee statute, Tennessee common law, or the Constitution of Tennessee.

“This bill prohibits any interference of [the right to keep and bear arms] by international treaty,” said Tennessee Rep. John Windle, who introduced the bill in January.

HB2389 now moves on to Governor Bill Haslam’s desk. He must sign or veto the bill within 10 days of transmittal, or it becomes law without his signature.

If this bill passes, Tennessee will be shielded from the pesky, anti-second amendment UN Arms Trade Treaty which has been described byGun Owners of America as part of a plan “to bring back the framework for a global gun control regime.”

The ATT was signed by Secretary of State John Kerry on September 25, 2013 but was neverratified by the US Senate.

The NRA blasted the Obama Administration for signing the treaty, saying “This treaty threatensindividual firearm ownership with an invasive registration scheme [and is full of regulations and requirements that are] blatant attacks onthe constitutional rights of every law-abiding American.”

Tennessee? one of the low IQ states that passes meaningless laws to placate their rubes since their laws mean nothing in regard to treaties of the United States, but hey it makes the hick goobers feel good and proud

If such an international treaty is signed by the President and approved the Senate, Tennessee's law means nothing.

The Constitution would mean something. It would mean that such a treaty would be illegal.
Per the constitutional requirements on treaties, if one were accepted, it becomes part of constitutional law. Did you not know that?

lol

Tennessee exhibits its ignorance of the law, as no international treaties can effect US law – the Tennessee measure is ridiculous, unwarranted, and nothing more than political posturing.

Much like your posts
Non sequitur fallacy.
.....when your one ball drops jones come here and start defending your bullshit.....until then...shut the fuck up .....

Oh, ye of little intellect! Please research the relationship of US treaties in regards to the laws of this land.

You will find you are dead wrong, with emphasis on the word dead if you get it wrong!

So you ADMIT that id the Senate approved the treaty our citizens would be required by Federal law to register all firearms get rid of those banned by the treat and would in fact be subject to that Treaty's orders?

Far right fascist sillies are always sillies. Right AmericanFirst1?

A treaty is “primarily a compact between independent nations.” Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution gives the President the power “to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.” And the Supremacy Clause provides that “treaties,” like statutes, count as “the supreme law of the land.”Jan 8, 2014

Only if you consider the Constitution useless bs.
