The original prosecutor said he would not be convicted without a confession, obviously meaning that her testimony was not going to convict due to lack of evidence and the looong time that past before she came forward.

All that is true. HOWEVER, the original prosecutor made an offer to Mr. Cosby that if he testified truthfully, at the CIVIL trial, that prosecutor would not use any of the testimony against him in a criminal trial.

The next prosecutor stated that the agreement with the original prosecutor and Cosby had no bearing on him. At the civil trial, Mr. Cosby confessed to all the drugging, rapes, and sexual assaults going back decades. That next prosecutor used all that testimony to convict Cosby.

Cosby is guilty but millions of dollars found an attorney who found a loophole and danced through the conviction.
