I, for one, do not support calling Democrats or liberals names. This is supposed to be a forum for debate of the issues that are important to us. No debate can begin with calling your opponent names.
Most are educated people who are misled into believing that the ideal of socialism can be made real. Heck, I doubt that any are self admitted socialists - they are progressives and there is some kind of major difference in their minds between the two.

It is my contention that if liberals, or progressives, could experience the reality of their progressive ideals in a real world application they would soon find that it fails in every area that they believe it will better.

One can see this from world history, the early history of this land before it became a country, and current world events. I suppose the hard part is imagining that anything so heinous could happen from such a grand ideal - in THIS country. People are people and we all suffer from failings that lead us toward our beliefs and keep us from listening to different views. It is therefore very reassuring that the constitution protects our right to express ourselves, protect ourselves, and still live as we each think we should within our own morals and conscience.
We have the bill of rights and our constitutional controls of government to thank for that - as long as we, the people, are willing to enforce it.

I mean, these people worked and worked and worked their ass off. They worked on the weekends. They worked at night. And they definitely worked during the week at their job.
