I remember as a kid my grandma told me the Hebrews were Black people. Not being particularly religious I didnt think much about it but always believed it. I've been researching this topic for a while now and it seems to be something so easily proven that I am astounded there is a controversy about it. The ancient Hebrews were obviously Black people. The evidence in the Torah/OT is pretty convincing.
Job 30:30 KJV: My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
"My skin is black upon me and my bones are burned with heat"
The only people that would suffer from this condition known as starvation induced hyper pigmentation enough to turn Black are dark skinned people such as this type VI person at the end of the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale

Job is speaking of the boils that covered his body, Asclepias . Here is a photograph of boils from a plague which turned the skin black:

They were also covered with black boils filled with pus and blood. These gave the disease it's name of “The Black Death”. (word description for this photograph)
__________
As you can see the person is not black but his skin is black due to the boils which were caused by a certain disease called black death. I could show you another photograph of boils covering a man's body in which his skin had turned black but I cannot post it here as it would be far too disturbing for some of the readers to see it. These boils can lead to death however in the case of Job, the Lord told Satan, behold he is thine, but save his life.
Furthermore, this type of boil creates an infection in the body which feels as if the body is being burned. Infection in the skin creates heat which can be felt down to the bone. Therein, Job speaks:
My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
Job 30:30
Satan made it clear his intention - skin for skin - his petition was specific. The boils covered Job from the sole of his feet to the crown of his head. Look at the following Scriptures:
Job 2 King James Version (KJV)
2 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
2 And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
3 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4 And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
________
If you will examine the photograph, you can see here in verse 7 that Job was covered with these sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown - speaking of the top of his head. Therefore, Job's skin (all of it) became black as you see in the photograph above. It was not from famine but from the disease / boils put upon him and the infection (heat) which afflicted his bones.
In verse 4 and 5 Satan is specific in his petition, skin for skin...... touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job did not curse God throughout his affliction. Instead Job said,
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Job 13:15
