I had something similar happen to me.
I went out to pick up the paper one morning in my bathrobe and stopped to enjoy a crisp fall morning.
Looked down the street and saw a cop driving down the road and being in my bathrobe I thought it might be a good idea to go inside.
Twenty seconds didnt go by and they were knocking on my door.
They thought it was odd that as soon as I saw them I went into the house.
Showed em ID and explained my reasoning and they laughed about it and went on their way.

Zimmerman saw a black kid walking in his neighborhood. He followed him and confronted him. The kid would never have known Zimmerman and would be alive today...had Zimmerman allowed the kid to go about his business in peace.
