The Demise of the Republican Party

Did anyone even read the (short) article? It's not about Reagan, btw.

From the article;

"Now Boehner, Cantor and McConnell are surrendering. Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid know the Republicans will never fight again and they can have anything they want.

Actually, that is not true. The Republicans are willing to fight again.

This fight is against their base.

Establishment Republicans, former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu and former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour have declared war on the Tea Party. Establishment Republicans are now vowing to primary Tea Party Congressmen. Michigan Congressman Justin Amash already has an opponent and Establishment Republicans are looking for a “pro-business” candidate to primary Iowa Congressman Steve King. "

I see where they are going now...thanks

The TPM is not the base of the GOP, only a far right bizarre manifestation of it.

I've come to the conclusion that their goal is to take America back to the 18th century. Simple as that. The republicans could take their fucking anti-science sequester cr and maybe the device repeal. BUT THEY WON"T.

They want to hurt America and fuck our economy over again.

How many times have I heard the demise of the Democratic or Republican party is at hand? more than I care to remember has it ever come true? Nope and it will be no different now.

There is no socialist party and there is no libertarian party.

And nothing of significance of either side will appear again.

I see. So you fuckers will reach a compromise: The American Fascist Party? .

I hope not, but I know that libertarianism would cave immediately to the enticements of corporatism, because you guys are in it for yourselves only.

Obama Hellcare is one pure example of corporatism. But you love it.

.

The Republican leadership in Washington was pushed into this fight. They did not like it. House Speaker John Boehner and Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor had already worked out a plan to surrender with style. The conservatives could even have another meaningless vote against Obamacare they could take back to the home folks.

True.

Republicans are as much victims of the TPM as the rest of the Nation.

I LOVE the tea party!

The GOP will destroy the Tea Party, Kathy. Sorry to disturb your hopes.

No one can prevent me from hoping our country can be salvaged. As I've said, we have got to stop politicians from diverting attention off their BS and hold them accountable for the mess we're in. They act like everything was hunky-dory before Cruz came along and he ruined it for everyone. NOT. The TP is primarily made up of blue collar workers tired of watching their paychecks shrink to pay for gov't waste.

Keep hope your hope for a better America, for that is pure patriotism.

The TP is primarily made up of elderly white folks who lost the political and cultural wars of the sixties and seventies, see their demise approaching personally and jointly, and are raising one last hurrah before passing the veil.

Never been to a tea party meeting have you, your ignorance speaks volumes.

I am getting pissed off as the CR would be their filthy anti-science sequester.

What the fuck more do these bastards want? It doesn't hit welfare, it doesn't hit anything that is causing the debt.

They just hate this country.

What do they want, a constitutional government would be nice.

I don't believe it's the end of the GOP by a long shot. However you will see turmoil within the party until either the TP's and Neo-Cons are either given total control or expelled from within the ranks.

Question: Are the TP'ers and Neo-Cons the "true republicans" that they claim to be and everyone else are RINO's?

Why is it everyone talks about the Tea Parties, yes I intended to use the plural, like they are not diverse, but only ignorant people think that way. Anyone that has attended a Tea Party event sees the the diversity in age, ethnicity and social economic backgrounds, of course the MSM ignores it. It's so convenient to try to shoe horn everyone in one little box.
