In your own words, what's the difference between a republican and a conservative?

I have my own idea. But would like to hear others.

A republican is someone who belongs to a specific political party.
A conservative is a flavor of republican who believes in limited government, self determination, low taxes and a strong military.
Another flavor of republican is a "populist" who are Trump supporters, who believe in the federal government working to grow the US economy instead of tax breaks for companies to move factories and jobs overseas. They also believe in using tariffs to ensure a level playing field for global trade. Trump and his hoards of supporters are "populists". They also oppose the welfare state, open borders, free college, free healthcare, drug abuse, gun control, gangs like MS-13, and using the federal government against your political opponents.

Most conservatives are Republicans, but not all Republicans are conservatives.

republicans are strong patriots that love this country and democrats are weak faggots that hate this country ...

Let me rephrase it. What's the difference between a conservative and a republican?

Conservatives and Republicans support capitalism, which is a healthy thing for this country and the world. Not all Democrats support socialism directly, but they do indirectly by supporting socialist candidates like Warren, Bernie, and the others.

Most Republicans believe in conservatism: Smaller government, lower taxes, more personal freedoms, Second Amendment rights, a strong military, right to life, personal responsibility, free markets, Biblical marriage being between one man and one woman, recognizing and utilizing the benefits of competition and hard work, following Christian principles, etc.

I don't think "most" republicans are conservatives. In fact, I only know of about 3, maybe 4. Thomas Massie and Justin Amash being two I can think of at the moment. (haven't had my first cup of coffee yet)
Rand Paul's voting record is still pretty good. And even Ted Cruz's record was pretty good. Although I haven't checked to see how they voted on the $1.4 spending bill yet.

Trump is no conservative. In fact, he's more of a liberal with a republican label stuck on his lapel. Anyone who spends as much as he does, and supports things like a bump stock ban, can't be considered a conservative. IMO.

Dunno

seems the country's run flat outta conservatives

~S~

Anytime the RNC get's a real conservative to run for POTUS, they throw him under the bus for the likes of people like Romney, McCain or Trump.

The Democrats do the same thing when they get a real old fashion democrat. They throw that person under the bus for a radical progressive/socialist.
