What's life like in Muslim countries?

In all of the Muslim countries that I've been to, life is mostly the same as it is here, if not poorer.

women cannot drive, gays are executed, if you are caught with a Bible you may be beheaded, young girls are "married" of old men and raped, other religions are not allowed to exist, the mullahs have more power than the rulers, except in Saudi Arabia where the royal family is also head of the religion.

But, having said that, I encountered many good honest muslims while working in the mid east, but every one of them was scared shitless of the mullahs.

I don't like Islam. I also don't like Christianity. Doesn't mean I wouldn't stand up for people from both religions to have freedoms, rights, and the chance to just get on with their life.

While I agree with you for the most part, I do believe we should be careful about how many Muslims we allow into the US. Europe is facing a huge problem because of the increasing Muslim population. To ignore the potential problems that Muslims can bring to a country, all we need do is look at Lebanon. Europe could very well find itself in civil war with Muslims within the next two or three generations. When Muslims are a small minority, they do well within whatever society they live, but when they become the majority or get close to being the majority, then they want to turn that society into their own little caliphate.

My family has many friends that are Christian Lebanese, and a few Muslim Lebanese also. They are afraid to go home to Lebanon even to visit family. Even the Muslim Lebanese here in the US are afraid to send their kids back home to see family for fear that they may be abducted. Lebanon was once a safe wonderful Christian country. When the Muslims got a foothold in Lebanon, they started a civil war with Christians and wanted to impose their own laws over the secular laws of Lebanon. It's been a mess ever since. While I am fairly open to things, we need to have a good understanding of Islam and why it works the way it does. While many Muslims may well be peace loving people, they do not and will not stand up to the fanatics, and therein lies the true problem. What I stated is 100% true. My mother is a Swiss citizen, so I have ties to Europe and I do understand what is happening over there. While Muslims are still a minority in Europe, their high birthrate versus the low birthrate for indigenous Europeans will almost certainly lead to a situation as we witnessed in Lebanon.
