Inequality has cost the U.S. nearly $23 trillion since 1990
Inequality in employment, education and earnings has cost the U.S. economy nearly $22.9 trillion over the past 30 years, a sum that is likely to increase...

Here we have a "study" that concludes that "inequality" has cost the American economy TWENTY-THREE TRILLION DOLLARS since 1990. The "thinking" here is that if somehow the income/wages of BIPOC's had magically risen the level of everyone else, then that magic money would have had a miraculous benefit to the economy. Where that magic money would come from is apparently not addressed. (Parenthetically, if one magically LOWERED the incomes of everyone else, thus eliminating "inequality" from the other end, would the economy have lost 23T? Is it inequality that is the problem or low BIPOC earnings. They are two different things. But I digress.)
They claim to have adjusted for education, experience, skills, etc., but with the fundamental fuzzy thinking and the obvious agenda that was being peddled by the authors, one wonders...is a degree in Communications from Grambling U equivalent to a degree in Marketing from, say, Purdue? Of course it is. Both are 4-year degrees. Or so the thinking goes.
But one wonders...if Black HS grads typically read at the 8th grade level and have math skills even lower, when is it, and how does it occur that this demographic elevates itself to have equal economic value to everyone else? Because this whole thesis is based on the proposition that BIPOC's bring just as much to the table as everyone else, and that is a very dubious proposition, given the clear academic deficiencies noted above.
The three authors of this study are, it would appear, menstruating persons, which biological trait apparently impacts their ability to view facts and to draw logical conclusions from them. The fact that they all hold prestigious and responsible positions is telling indeed.
Stupidity on steroids...and the Press reports it as profound analysis. A pox on all their houses.
