The Geminga Scenario

A mysterious entity is orbiting the Sun arresting the attention of researchers

Within our Solar System, an oddity exists. Caught in the vicinity between Saturn and Uranus, it at times swings closer to the former and at other times the latter. This comet's peculiarity lies in its adaptable icy dust disc, which occasionally bears a semblance to rings.
This entity, christened Chiron, is a so-called centaur- a relatively small celestial body with traits strikingly similar to a comet. It has a diameter of merely 136 miles. It is yet to be visited by any spacecraft, but past phenomena have given us inklings about its probable appearance.

Robert A. Heinlein (1907-1988) was one of the twentieth century’s most popular science fiction writers. He wrote 32 novels over the course of his life including Stranger in a Strange Land, Starship Troopers, and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress.

His books explore a wide range of themes from race and sex to politics and religion. He is known in particular for promoting an individualist life philosophy and pushing back on conformity.

This individualist streak has not gone unnoticed by modern libertarians. Indeed, many freedom advocates to this day draw on Heinlein’s piercing remarks and aphorisms in their rhetoric. As with many quotable authors, it’s not that Heinlein’s ideas are particularly new. It’s more that he articulates certain timeless ideas in such a way that they just hit differently.

What follows are some of his best quotes on liberty, politics, and culture.

Something I came across a while back in one of many books I've read. An anomaly on level of the "Piri reis map"*.

Genetic manipulation of early hominids by the Anunnaki is a major theme here, and it was supposedly infusion of 'Naki "Y" chromosome that was key in transformation into human. So ...

Scientists have unraveled the enigma of the Y chromosome by disclosing the entire genetic blueprint of the male sex chromosome

...
The result is a landmark achievement for human genetics. The researchers discovered 41 new genes on the Y chromosome, bringing the total number to 278. They also found that the Y chromosome has a higher mutation rate than other chromosomes, and that it has evolved rapidly over time.

The complete sequence of the Y chromosome will enable more accurate and comprehensive studies of human diseases, reproduction, evolution, and fertility. The Y chromosome is essential for male development and fertility, but it also harbors genes that can cause diseases such as cancer. “The Y chromosome is not just a genetic relic from our past. It is a dynamic and evolving part of our genome that plays a vital role in our health and well-being,” said Dr. Evan Eichler, co-author of the study.

A general knowledge footnote for here;

How crowded are the oceans? New maps show what flew under the radar until now

Advances in AI and satellite imagery allowed researchers to create the clearest picture yet of human activity at sea, revealing clandestine fishing activity and a boom in offshore energy development.

Satellites reveal 75% of world's industrial fishing vessels are 'hidden'

Earth-observing satellites have helped detect previously unmapped global fishing vessels, revealing nearly 75% of the world's industrial activity at sea was "hidden" from public view.

Using satellite imagery from 2017-2021, vessel GPS data and machine learning software, a team led by the Global Fishing Watch created the first world map of large vessel traffic and offshore infrastructure. Their findings bring to light a large number of "dark vessels," or those that previously didn't appear in public monitoring systems, offering a better understanding of the global impact of human activity at sea.

I'm still inclined to think they would need to have a 46 chromosome pattern same as humans, yet haven't seen this confirmed yet. Never the less ...

Neanderthals and humans may belong to the same species, say scientists. It could rewrite the history of our evolution.
