The Governing Trap

They're not supposed to "govern or legislate". You don't understand our system of government.

They are not there to "pass laws and get stuff done".

From the article:
First: While trade-promotion authority and a tax reform that includes (but is not limited to) corporations are good ideas, voters are not, in fact, waiting anxiously for any of this. Business lobbies are. The Republican party should not pursue an agenda that is identical to theirs.
Luddy and Americas Enemies would call that "gittin' stuff done".

The comments at the site are good too.
"To be "governed" is to be: watched, inspected, spied upon, directed law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be "governed" is to be at every operation, at every transaction, noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished."

Then they're doing it right cuz they Do Nothing and RWs voted for them to continue to Do Nothing.

Some day, when the Government Oppression gets so bad, Luddy may wake up.

Then again he may not.
