Spoke with a soon to be retired Air Force officer and his wife recently. They are staunch Repubs from Texas that spent considerable time in Belgium. Which is very similiar to Denmark. Thye (this AF couple) intend to move to Belgium to live. Said that everyone is so well educated and happy.

I mentioned that I thought this strange for an AF officer, being Repubs, to like this kind of country. What with free everything and high taxes. But they sure did love that country and intend to move back.

Said that those kinds of social programs would never work here. But they were sure glad they worked so well in that country.
