Trump was the one pushing the “friendship” line with Russia. Romney may have called them a threat 10 years ago but look at how the right treats him now. Pretty weird example to bring up as some kind of leader in the Republican Party.

The only debate going on now is how much to sanction Russia. A lot or more than a lot.

And guess what? The only reason the sanctions may work is the Ukrainian miliary somehow figured out how to contain the Russian attacks. If they would have taken Kiev over the weekend, the West would have been looking for a way out.

And, exactly like I said, the left took that misquote and spread it everywhere.

Easing sanctions on Nordstream 2 was more about helping out Germans than rewarding Russians. It’s not really relevant to the discussion, especially as it’s now kaput.

The only reason sanctions may work has nothing to do with the Ukrainian military, and more to do with how broadly they’re being applied by our allies. Assuming global leadership and working with our allies is pretty valuable after all. Something that Trump didn’t understand.

I think Trump did a good job over the last four years not only arming Ukrainians but training them. Ukrainian nationalism is pretty cool to see.
