The disinformation was real. The emails from the laptop never proved any corruption by then candidate Biden which is what the NY Post article claimed. With just 3 week before the 2020 election there was not enough time to verify it but the Rabid Right Echo Chamber wanted the false claims about corruption on all media outlets in their October Surprise. I think is was the smut that the extreme rabid right was pushing that made the traditional media outlets hit pause. That and Faux New's reputation for parroting GOP propaganda....
