Update on this story:

I was listening to the Andrew Klavan podcast and he interviewed the NRA instructor who used his personal AR-15 civilian rifle to stop the church shooter, saving at least 26 lives, likely a lot more.....

Klavan allowed the guy to tell his story from the beginning and we learned a few things.....

-- When his daughter told him that someone was shooting up the church, he grabbed his rifle, loaded a magazine and ran out the door......he began yelling at the guy in the church...and this is what stopped the killing in the church...we know this also from a survivor in the church who said that a guy outside the church with a gun distracted the killer as he was murdering the wounded.

-- We know that you can't limit magazine capacity for law abiding citizens...why? Because he had to load a magazine very quickly, and after his initial shooting with the killer, when the killer had come to a stop, the NRA instructor checked the magazine on his AR-15 and discovered he only had 2 bullets left, one in the gun, and one in his magazine. Had the guy decided to fight, it is likely the good guy with the gun would have been out gunned.......So morons who want to limit magazine capacity for good guys are dumb, and don't understand what can happen in a fight....

-- After the two good guys chased down the bad guy......keeping in mind that the police had been called as the NRA instructor was grabbing his rifle and loading a magazine......the police were 5-7 minutes late, after the killers car had stopped and the NRA instructor kept his rifle trained on the car.....he said it seemed like an eternity for the police there...

When the police arrived...they did not shoot the good guy with the gun......the good guy did not shoot at the police....the good guy only realized the police had arrived when they used their bullhorn to tell the driver to put his gun down and exit the car....when the NRA Instructor laid down his gun, he said he believed his job was done and was going to leave it to the police....the cop told him.."Not you....the other guy..." So the NRA instructor went back to his rifle and trained it back on the shooter until a police cruiser came up to him, and covered his retreat back to the police line 50 yards away.
