The Mayor of Las Vegas wants casinos open NOW! In a wild interview, Carolyn Goodman revealed she had suggested the city be a corona "control group"

Jesus what an idiot. Goodman is obviously bucking for a job in the Trump Admin.
Yeah definitely, pack 'em in like sardines and let em paw those slot machines with their snotty fingers and breathe that circulated air! :rolleyes-41:

Casinos aren't making any profit ... Nevada taxes on profit ... the logic is sound, the problem is that Nevada has a "one industry" tax base ... so it's kinda the governor's job to try and re-open casinos ...

It's a very bad idea ... casinos are filthy places ...

Yes, the nation needs to support the mob and millionaire owned and operated businesses and casinos in Las Vegas... how could we possibly surviving without the opportunity to piss our hard earned money away gambling for a few more weeks?

/sarcasm

Nevada isnt the only state that has to pay its bills

I dems are expecting the federal government to print a few trillion new dollars every month and give it to them

but it aint gonna happen

soon it will be time to kick state and local government employees to the unemployment line

'We've had viruses for years... I want the hotel rooms open'

The mayor of Las Vegas gave this unbelievably alarming interview to Anderson Cooper

she is NUTS

her aides should never have left Anderson Cooper alone with Goodman

And yet it can be done and probably successfully....we have already seen the the Virus Curve is unaffected by quarantine and shut down.....it just does whatever it does.

They'll let 16 people around the Craps table ... elbow to elbow ... a great way to catch a cold or flu ... folks sneezing all over the slot machines, you see how many workers are there cleaning ... casinos are a great place to get infected by a virus ...

We won't have this virus curve for a year or two ... we're just now getting preliminary numbers from the 2018-19 flu season and the information posted right now is based on sampling, we're still going through all the medical records to calculate the final numbers for that year ... the shut down does reduce infection rates, how much is an open question, it's considered unethical to allow a deadly virus to run it's natural course through the population just to see how many people die ... best we have is computer models and Moore's Law ...

The bigger question is whether the lives we are saving is worth the economic shut down ... $3 trillion in Federal Debt and counting ... with some predicting a two or three year recession ... but we'll find out soon enough, once the stay-at-home orders are lifted we'll be going back to work and only then will we know how many jobs are left ... my local Safeway store has big "help wanted" signs all over their store during this pandemic ...

We need to discuss all this ... and make better plans for the next SARS outbreak ... maybe cut way back on airline travel ... there's always been SARS in rural China, just today rural Chinese have access to cars and airplanes ... the virus spreads so much quicker than before ... so not one penny of Federal aid to the airlines, let them fold and we can recycle all the aluminum in these useless jet airliners ... just a waste ...
