The moab bomb costs $170,000 each not $16 million

The latest reports say that 96 ISIS fighters were killed. That comes to about $1700/fighter - a bargain.

The US's Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb does not cost $314 million, or $16 million, but $170,000 a unit, the US Air Force told Business Insider on Friday. The weapon, whose acronym inspired the nickname "Mother of All Bombs," was produced by the Air Force, not by a third party like Lockheed or Boeing, "so we don't have a standard procurement cost associated with them," an Air Force official said. The $170,000 figure makes sense considering a general-purpose 1,000-pound MK-83 costs about $12,000. The MOAB simply features more high explosives and larger fins to direct the GPS-guided munition. Many outlets, including The New York Times and Business Insider, inaccurately stated the cost of the MOAB as being in the millions. Business Insider's article has since been corrected to reflect this information.

Bahahahahahaaa.....This is hilarious. How many ISIS fighters are left now? 50,000? 100,000?
I just marvel at right wing Trumpie stupidity on this board!!!

And this makes pissing away all that money for no good reason better how?

Because we aren't pissing away as much?

Obviously the cost is not just the cost of the bomb. it's the cost of the plane to deliver it, the cost of gaining air superiority so that a slow moving plane can drop it on top of a mountain where it will have minimal effect.

There's a reason why we haven't used these bombs all that much. They just aren't that effective. But the Orange Baboon realized that his unpopularity isn't quite as high when he's blowing shit up... so let's piss away that money.

And wonder why Granny's Meals on Wheels doesn't show up this Easter.

1,700 an asshole is a bargain clown boy. Just think, that's a whole bunch of assholes who you no longer have to worry about wanting to kill you because you're such a silly, silly person. Who isn't Muslim.

Killing ISIS seems like a good reason.

"Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves." Is a very old saying. i doubt you can understand its underlying meaning though.

It's a very old saying that doesn't pertain to terrorism or else Bush would have taken care of it after spending $4,000,000,000,000, dumbass.

JUST answer the question. How many ISIS fighters left after MOAB was dropped? That bomb was Trump compensating for his tiny prick.

Translation - any government money spent that does not go into the back pocket of a left wing kleptocrat is "pisssing away all that money" that could've been stolen by someone who voted for Hillary...

INstead of spending billions of dollars bouncing the rubble (as GW Bush once observed) we spend that money on energy development and transportation infrastructure

'cause we ALWAYS have to SPEND SPEND SPEND it and make it vanish. To save it, to reduce the debt/deficit with it, that would actually help America, which the Dems oppose...

So who wants to answer my question? 96 down and HOW MANY to go? LMAO. What a bunch of idiots.
Anyone really think that this is going to make ISIS back down and be Trump's bitch? Really?

Hmmm. I call bullflop! Nothing costs the pentagon "only" $170,000.
How much does it pay for pencils?

You're making our point for us. Thanks.
How so? What I did is demonstrate Timmy is a liar.

Uh-huh. You just caught yourself in your own trap.
No I didn't, moron. If I had, then why can't either of you answer the question?

Makes sense since a cruise missile costs $1 to $2 million and can fly a thousand miles at low altitude and come within ten meters of its target

MOAB is basically a dumb bomb that can be remotely targeted.

Only $170,000 my ass, so the spent 300 plus million just to figure out how to add more explosives and bigger fins?

Bull shit OP

.

a damn government commode seat costs $500 bucks ....

LMAO

poof fucking dumbass pat ...
That's what the Air Force says, dumbass.

It's just a big metal tube full of explosives. GPS guidance for bombs has become as cheap as a cell phone.

LMAO

It's not an ordinary toilet seat, dumbass:

The part is used on Navy's P3-C Orions, submarine-hunter airplanes used along the nation's coastlines.

Built by the Lockheed-California Company, the plastic and fiberglass ''toilet cover assembly No. 941673- 101,'' as the Pentagon refers to it, fits over the lavatory holding tank.

It was ''designed to be of light weight, corrosive resistant, thermo- formed, polycarbonate material, seamless, and sufficiently durable to withstand repeated usage and aircraft landings,'' according to a Lockheed description. The Navy bought 54 of them last year.
