I won't see it either but neither of us will be missed. It was #1 this weekend because, apparently, a lot of people like bible-based fairy tales.

Apparently there are a lot of people that are just plain stupid and know nothing about the Bible. This movie definately IS a fairy tale. What's said is there are probably people like you that think it's the truth!

I actually find everything about this story to be quite preposterous.

Flooding the entire earth? And no fresh or saltwater fish died? All the animals fit into the Arc? Dinos included? Come on man, Noah being a drunk is least problematic side-bar to this whole mess.

Dinosaurs did not exist on earth as the same time as mammals.

I'm sorry - a "story" does not classify as empirical evidence.

I would assume that early humans has such a story that evolved with civilization.

Yes they did co-exist, but according to the bible, the earth is only about 6,000 years old - the lineage from Adam to Noah is written in EXACT years in Genesis.

Therefore, dino's almost certainly would have still been around.

The universe did not exist before the earth was "created." I'm not speaking of the universe, but the actual age of the earth according to scripture.

I saw the movie. It was pretty bad. The OP is actually a very accurate assessment of the movie. There are tons of things that didn't follow the Bible. The word God is replace by "The Creator" the whole movie.
