There is also an analogue in a Spanish costume. But it all come from the hussars. Even epaulettes have been preserved there.
Anyway, this is not the style of northern Europe
In Spain, this costume apparently appeared during the Great Conquests of the Hungarians.
In Eastern Europe, it was considered a hussar instrument, and not a Spanish one. And, most likely, among the hussars it was also a six-stringed one, because the so-called "Russian" guitar has not yet taken root and few people play it. Large originals only. The seven-string guitar is rather stupid, it is only suitable for fingerstyle, chords on it do not sound. Its origin is not entirely clear.
Hussar motives practically do not differ from Gypsy and Hungarian, they are one and the same. The hussar romance is the same as the gypsy romance in style.
