The President flips off Arizona

i am enjoying this thread quite a bit. Between the firefighter lie being promoted by the hacks to the hypocrisy of crying about relief when they wouldnt sign onto helping Jersey.

The reality of this is that this is very sad that aid in america has devolved into a tit for tat game. hiding behind pork, red and blue states is just embarrassing as an american.

it really shows you how little we have evolved.

No one read my Harrison Bergeron link? Quite apropos, I thought.

I love Kurt. :eusa_angel: I didn't have to go to the link because I'm a devout fan.

Harrison Bergeron is so mindbendingly awesome (pulling a Palin here because I don't think mindbendingly is a word but I hope you catch my drift.)

Vonnegut captures decades in advance what would happen in a "progressive" society where true equality mandated by government is reduced to humanity's lowest common denominator.

I love this part...Oh and video at link.

Chris Christie is spending $4.7 million dollars of Hurricane Sandy relief funds on video ads that promote himself, the New Jersey Star-Ledger reports.

The "Stronger Than The Storm" TV ads feature Gov. Chris Christie and his family and are part of a $25 million spend to promote NJ tourism. The money all comes from the federal tax dollars given to NJ as post-Sandy hurricane relief.

Critics say that the ads promote Christie more than they promote tourism: they work as campaign ads this year, when Christie is running for re-election as governor, and they introduce Christie to a national audience ahead of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Christie is also under fire for paying more to have himself in the ads. Over $2 million more was paid to a company that proposed putting him Christie into the ads. Another firm offered to make the tourism-promoting ads for $2 million, but without Christie or his family in the footage, the Star-Ledger reports.

The ad has been airing in NY, PA, Baltimore, and DC.

The Stronger than the Storm ads were great. Haven't heard anyone in NJ complain. They celebrate the resilience of the NJ people more than they celebrate the Governor

Christie was our symbol of Hurricane Sandy, much the way Rudy G was the symbol of 9-11.

He was using the ads to promote himself. Hence the criticism from your own Star Ledger. No wonder he and Obama get along so well.

Fellow narcissists.

'Stronger than the Storm' ads go to politically active firm, cost $2M more than runner-up, report says

The “Stronger Than The Storm” TV commercials starring Gov. Chris Christie and his family are providing a near $5 million windfall of taxpayer dollars for a politically active public relations agency, more than $2 million higher than what the runner-up firm planned to charge.

:eusa_whistle:

And as a great man used to say "Here's the rest of the story....."

The contract documents shine new light on the role Christie administration officials had in the TV commercials — controversial because they give Christie more exposure during a gubernatorial election year, and also because they introduce him to voters in other states in advance of a possible 2016 presidential campaign.

The top official on the selection committee, appointed by Christie, once received a $49,000 loan from Christie when he was the U.S. attorney for New Jersey.

The two bidders had different views on how the campaign should be run. MWW proposed putting Christie in the ads. The other bidder, a team headed by the Sigma Group, did not. MWW won the contract.

Great ads...well worth the money

NJ had to get the word out that the beaches are back in business. Christie is the symbol of Sandy relief and is our best spokesman

A campaign ad? Christie is ahead by like 40 points

I didn't see a single "vote for Christie" in those ads

Of course Brewer needs to get out of the sun. She wants to politicize this decision it is about private property owners and not for the firefighters. There is a process of appeal and it must be followed.

"FEMA, by law, cannot duplicate benefits provided by insurance companies or other federal agencies," Watson said. "In this case ... it was determined that the damage to uninsured private residents from this event was not beyond the response and recovery capabilities of the state/local governments, and voluntary agencies."

FEMA denies Ariz.'s Yarnell disaster aid request

States' Rights all the way, Baby!

That is what Conservatives have been telling us all along........let local charities handle it

Libertarian wet dream

Or they could hold a bake sale.

And his cozying up to Obama was worse than taking an overdose of ipecac...and spending time in a vomitarium.

Gotta love it, Arizonans come out on Thursday to call the President a n*gger and have their Disaster relief request denied on Friday

Federal government says no to aid for Arizona fire - CNN.com

(CNN) -- Arizona's top politicians blasted the Obama administration and federal officials over the denial of aid in the wake of the state's deadly wildfire.
The Yarnell Hill blaze killed 19 firefighters, called "hotshots," in late June, when it changed directions and engulfed them.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency denied the state's request for assistance based on insurance rules, it said in a statement Friday. It determined that not enough uninsured private individuals had become victims to warrant a payout.

You reap what you sow Arizona

 Maybe the two events had nothing to do with one another.. Arizona really doesn't have a lot of good outcomes after their aggressive comments for President Obama though.

Have fun cleaning up on your dime assholes..

Instant Karma's gunna get ya

and the divide gets wider.....

Let him die Republicans say we shouldn't be helping Americans because that's "socialism".

Well your post certainly is proof of someone's pettiness.

I'm just teasing....

Of course, Arizona didn't REALLY call Obama a n*gger
Of course Obama just denied relief because they didn't meet federal standards

up your ass with teasing.., slither back into your sewer with the rest of the rats and slime
