"The President of the United States is like Ronald McDonald...

Do you agree with this sentiment?

... they both stand out in front and wave, but neither actually runs the place."

Simply put, it means that the US President is a decorative figurehead and that no matter who we elect, from either party, change won't come until the ensconced bureaucracy is overhauled.

Though I fully agree, the good Doctor will always get my vote. :D

Well then let's drop the title and save the dough, since Congress can't get along get rid of them also..With no govt. think of all the taxes we don't need to pay...

(Ron Paul is the new pineapple designated choice)But Ronald does a better job...

It's a reference to online polls around the time of the 2008 Republican Primary. Ron Paul supporters would swamp online polls and skew the results.

Ron Paul supporters skewed the results so badly that Romney toadies had to hijack a bus full of his delegates at the RNC to silence them, and steal the prime time speaking spot that he earned in the primaries.

Politics is like sports. You root for your team and you go to the games. Winning or losing will only change the price of the team's merchandise.

I have been saying this for years. It isn't changing the players, or even changing teams. The GAME IS RIGGED. Until we change the game, then nothing will change. I admit Trump is a bit different than your typical politician, but we see the bureaucracy still doing things, especially on the State level that is anti American, and moving us towards a more Totalitarian existence.

Career politicians of BOTH Parties are De Facto Royalty. They are insulated, rich, egotistical, and purely self serving. We can not Tar and Feather them anymore when they get out of line. They have legions of armed security, all the while continuing to try to DISARM US, the private citizen that PAYS FOR EVERYTHING.

So you think Al Gore would have been the same president as W.? How about McGovern and Nixon? Hillary and Trump? Would history be the same regardless of who won those elections?

Not this President. He's pulling the rug out from underneath the bureaucracy. A Trump Presidency has also rescued this country from mediocrity. Can you imaging how things would be if we were in the second year of a Hillary Clinton Presidency?
