The sitting president at that time was.....


RICHARD NIXON!

AKA, TRICKY DICK!

And yet, despite the evil spoken of Nixon, he still wasn't as corrupt as the current administration.

Nixon got into trouble due to his cover up of the break in. He had enough class to resign.

Obama's cover ups of Benghazi, IRS, NSA are much more felonious than anything Nixon did, and Obama has class, but it's all LOW!

Nixon was impeached because the Congress wasn't in the tank for him and neither was the media.

Obama is much more corrupt and incompetent but he has the media on his side and as long as the Democrat Party holds the Senate, he could kill someone and get off.

I don't think Obama is the worst president in history, in fact I can name half a dozen who were worse.

When I was born, Dwight Eisenhower was president. Since that time, I will unequivocally state that Obama is the worst. Through 2010, I held Jimmy Carter to be worse than Obama, but the Benghazi and Fascist Care disasters have moved Obama into the worst in my lifetime slot. And this includes the fact that Carter was directly responsible for a nuclear North Korea, lobbying on their behalf during the Clinton Administration. Though the event happened while Clinton was in office, it was Carter who orchestrated Nukes for North Korea.

But then, Obama just gave nukes to Iran. Obama is a perfect storm, he is incompetent - obviously, and he is an ideologue. The combination makes him a dangerous man, one who has left a swath of destruction behind him. Reagan ended the threat of global, thermal-nuclear war; Obama brought that threat back and has magnified it.

I disagree. I think many of Obama's opponents and detractors are virulent racists and hate the idea that a black man is soiling the white house. Not you of course.

The Civil War never really ended in spirit. The south was put down by force but the underlying notion that the black should never rise above status as property is still alive and well in this country. The class component to slavery--free labor--is also quite compelling for some people. The southern Dixiecrats already killed Universal HC once...Truman couldn't get universal healthcare for the nation b/c the south sure as hell wouldn't give one dollar to a plan that helps minorities.

I don't think any of that is controversial or new. The north had its bigots as well.
