The Religion of Liberalism

Yup.....they do have a religion.

The brilliant....and prescient....Ann Coulter nailed it....and then Liberals prove it.

1. First, from Coulter

From the Amazon review of Godless, by Coulter…

"Though liberalism rejects the idea of God and reviles people of faith, it bears all the attributes of a religion. In Godless, Coulter throws open the doors of the Church of Liberalism, showing us its sacraments (abortion), its holy writ (Roe v. Wade), its martyrs (from Soviet spy Alger Hiss to cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal), its clergy (public school teachers), its churches (government schools, where prayer is prohibited but condoms are free), its doctrine of infallibility (as manifest in the "absolute moral authority" of spokesmen from Cindy Sheehan to Max Cleland), and its cosmology (in which mankind is an inconsequential accident).

Then, of course, there's the liberal creation myth: Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

For liberals, evolution is the touchstone that separates the enlightened from the benighted."
And....Franklin Delano Roosevelt, "...the Socialist Savior of the Democratic Party."

...the Catechism: you didn't build that.....

2. And the equally brilliant Ben Shapiro runs with "its sacraments (abortion)"....

"When Abortion Becomes a Sacrament

3. ...alleged comedian Michelle Wolf paid tribute to the most important facet of American life: abortion. On her Netflix show on Sunday, Wolf dressed up in red, white and blue, and shrieked into the camera, "God bless abortions, and God bless America!" She explained: "Women, if you need an abortion, get one! If you want an abortion, get one! ...

4. ...a ground shift has taken place in how Democrats think about abortion. Back in 2005, I wrote that the Democratic "safe, legal and rare" formulation regarding abortion was logically and morally untenable: If Democrats wanted abortion to be rare thanks to its inherent immorality, there was no reason for it to be legal. Democrats have finally come around: They're now "shouting" their abortions, proclaiming them from the rooftops, suggesting that there is a moral good achieved by abortion.

5. ...Lena Dunham said just two years ago, "I still haven't had an abortion, but I wish I had." Thus, Chelsea Handler, who has had two abortions, explained in the pages of Playboy, "I don't ever look back and think, 'God, I wish I'd had that baby.'" Her article was accompanied by a picture of a woman's hand with a raised middle finger with a pink bow around it; attached to the bow is a small card that reads, "It's an abortion!"

6. Gloria Steinem once remarked, "If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament." But modern-day feminists have determined that abortion isa sacrament specifically because women can get pregnant: Showing that control over your body even extends to the killing of your unborn child is a way of standing up against patriarchal concerns with Wwomen as the source of future generations.

7. ...abortion isn't just another decision. It's a giant middle finger to the moral establishment. And those who would fight abortion are desacralizing the mysterious holiness of a ritual that reinforces women's control. No wonder Wolf thinks God blesses abortion; abortion is her god."
When Abortion Becomes A Sacrament

Clearly the Liberals are all about proving the adage "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad."

Coulter has sex outside of marriage, so we should not listen to her, and she hates kids. I wonder is she have had a abortion. Or she might be a virgin. We know L. Ingraham is a virgin, she adopted kids, and never was married.

Never use Coulter as a person against abortion. You should know better.

And if men could get pg, they would have abortion clinics on every corner.

I also have an issue with the term liberal for Democrat. I am a conservative, fiscally and socially and a Democrat.

If there is a hell, coulter would probably be going there.

The post to which you've linked is about abortion.

You seem not to have grasped that.

Yes that is all you cons have, even though you are just pro birth, anything after that is on their own. You use
Ann Coulter nailed it!

She is a single female (and who knows how she was born) who probably had an abortion or VD, I'm sure she has had sex. She hates kids. She is a pill in herself and seems to be anorexic.

"She is a single female (and who knows how she was born) who probably had an abortion or VD,..."

As the saying goes, 'We can only judge others by ourselves.'

Hope you can come to terms with your iniquities.

I suspect you had an abortion and now feel it was a mistake. I know we have a married Republican in MI who had an abortion and is now anti abortion. Fess up.

"Recently, Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins expressed dismay at border security policies that separate children from their parents. Collins called this "traumatizing to children, who are innocent victims, and it is contrary to our values in this country."

At the same time, Collins says she will not support a Supreme Court nominee "who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade."

I ask Collins, is the unborn child, who has a heartbeat and can feel pain, not also an innocent victim? Does Collins not find this violence on life also "contrary to our values in this country"?

Perhaps Collins finds taking a position on whether the unborn child is human life, like Obama, above her pay grade."

Especially when the women involved has numerous avenues by which to avoid said creation.

Nearly every abortion is based on convenience.....Convenience, as in having your groceries delivered rather than having to walk across the street to pick them up.....this level of consideration in deciding to execute the child you've created.

"The "pro-life" movement is clear on this. The unborn child is living and must be protected.

Where's the other side coming from?

Most telling is from then-candidate Barack Obama, who told Pastor Rick Warren, in response to Warren's question, at what point "does a baby get human rights?" that the answer "is above my pay grade."

...Obama was an aggressive advocate for abortion and was the first sitting president to address the annual meeting of Planned Parenthood, where he concluded his remarks with "God Bless You."

He was comfortable invoking the blessings of God for the nation's largest abortion provider despite his candor that he has no idea whether abortion means taking human life."

Sorry bout that,

1. SO the democrats are all about murdering babies, kill it before it grows and needs something.
2. Bloody democrats, might as well have horns growing from their foreheads.
3. That taste of blood won't be so sweet some day.
