It's sad what they've done to this state..I lived there in the 90's couldn't pay to live there now

Seeing how Californian's have been fleeing the state and 1 business out of every 6 has also fled, it's more likely the elections are being rigged.

all true, but some don't want to see that.

Its so funny to play dumb ass liberals like you wave catcher. Because when you can not win a fucking debate, you will call a poster a racists/bigot and go after someones spelinng/grammer because you lost and dont have anything else. Yup you get so mad when a right leaning indie will flame your ass.... btw I consider spelling the same way this guy considers memorizing something
. Spelling is useless when your after Ideas...
"Never memorize something that you can look up." ~Albert Einstein

Mad? Not me, not at all. I pity people like you and Stephanie.

All members of Congress guide funds to their state. Suggesting otherwise is dishonest.

CA, under the leadership of Gov. Brown and the Democrat's leadership in the Assembly and Senate is on the road to recovery. A result of tax increases, spending cuts and a readily improving economy. The latter described as booming in a recent article on hiring in Silicon Valley. Housing in Mission Bay is being built in the district where AT&T Park is located, as well as a UCSF campus, high tech and medical research projects. Home values in the SF Bay Area are up by as much as 22.5% and the Stock and Bond Markets Nationally have grown every month since January.

The Bush Recession of 2007-2009 is over folks, no thanks to the Republicans and the Tea Party. In fact without their input we would be in full recovery with unemployment down to a manageable 5%. Cuts to Civil Service Employees - yes cuts to those first responders and teachers who showed their metal this past week in Tornado Alley - have kept the percent of unemployed high.

The economy in my region is good and getting better suggesting the prediction by asaratis is nothing but hot air coming from the ass of an ignoramus. Of course that's quite common on this forum.
Yes it is. Considering the infestation of liberal assholes like yourself, I am surprised it's not more prevalent.

The stimulus package of 2009 was disproportionately divided among the states...the biggest chunk going to the nearly bankrupt California (so they could fund such things a studies of erectile disfunction).

"The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 will provide $787 billion in economic investment nationally, with California possibly receiving more than $50 billion for a variety of statewide programs."

"Several of the governors were escaping drama in their own states, including California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican who signed the state's overdue budget last week after a bruising battle with lawmakers over how to plug the state's mammoth $41 billion budget hole."

It was nothing more than a bailout of a broke state government that will continue to operate in the same manner that made it that way. It will happen again. We'll all have to chip in to bail out the spendthrift liberals of California.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

How nice of you to quote Michael 'Savage'; it does say a lot. That said, Gov. Davis was recalled and AS came to us as the savior of all that is good in the world. The GOP and many on the far right (your position, I assume) even wanted to change the COTUS to allow him to run for POTUS. How'd they work for you guys on the right?

BTW, you didn't provide a source or date for the quote, though whatever point you hoped to make failed, so don't bother. If you have anything relevant to offer please do, otherwise stfu, there is enough ignorance and mendacity already in this thread without your adding to it.

My apologies for not providing links. Micheal Savage had nothing to do with it. You are presumptuous and really not bright at all.

Maybe you should stay in Boston when you get there. The people there are far more advanced than the descendants of acid head hippies you live with now.

You I don't pity, you're simply a punk. As for mental acuity I have the smarts to understand how erectile dysfunction relates to heart disease and other cardiovascular disease. As a demagogue you chose one issue sure to appeal to the echo chamber, who like you are too dumb to consider the scope of such studies.

From the link by mamooth:

LOS ANGELES — "After years of grueling battles over state budget deficits and spending cuts, California has a new challenge on its hands: too much money. An unexpected surplus is fueling an argument over how the state should respond to its turn of good fortune.

"The amount is a matter of debate, but by any measure significant: between $1.2 billion, projected by Governor Jerry Brown, and $4.4 billion, the estimate of the Legislature’s independent financial analyst. The surplus comes barely three years after the state was facing a deficit of close to $60 billion."

Gotta wonder about that whole Republican 'plan' in the H of Rep. At least for those who are curious and unafraid of cognitive dissonance.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, California is now running a large budget surplus.

A LARGE BUDGET SURPLUS POSES PROBLEMS FOR CALIFORNIA - Nation - The Boston Globe

That happened right after Democrats obtained supermajority status. It's not a coincidence.

Maybe California took lessons in some of that Bill Clinton voodoo bookkeeping. His "surplus" did not exist.

...and the estimates differ by 366%. Must be that new math.

LOL, Tissue asaratis? Kinda sad, Voodoo Economics, the God that failed.

.

My home state is a wonderful place -- I hit Fisherman's Wharf whenever I'm in town, my brothers and I did a tour of the wine country about two months ago, holy crap did we drink -- and there are many people who are willing to pay (significantly) higher taxes just to live there. Great. I get it.

But let's give this about 18-24 months to see where the numbers fall. Anyone who believes a state or federal government's projections out of hand is either naive or dreaming.

I'm not the least upset with your liberal gibberish. If you actually think there were surpluses during the Clinton years, you are really not worth reading.

Of course time will tell, and a budget is only a plan. Stuff happens, an earthquake could change everything, which is why I support saving for the future as the big one is overdue on the Hayward Fault. In the 1990's we had a surplus and Gov. Wilson sent every taxpayer a check for $39. My wife and I thought it stupid and gave the money to the local elementry school.

Jerry Brown showed real leadership and I applaud him for being a grown up and handling CA deficit
