The top 10 cities people are looking to put in their rearview mirrors

Why yes...Compton is an amazing city...all good, decent people want to live there…it's safe with great schools, lots of homelessness, gang activity, violent crime and tons of weed and porn shops…it’s so cool.

You would have to give me the half a mill to live there. It's amazing anyone would pay that kind of money to live there. Literally insane.

NOBODY decent in touch and sane “wants” to live in blue shitholes like Compton….they feel trapped, they feel like they have to live in shitholes like Compton.

I remember riding a tricycle on the sidewalk back in the 60's at my uncle's house in Compton. I wonder how far a 5 year old white kid would get today before the Crips took him out?

Yes, jobs pay different rates based on location, location, location. Still not the point. I, as a consumer, have a choice to buy a house wherever I want.

Here’s an example: There are two cereals in the grocery store that are similar. One has a cost of $3.00. The other has a cost of $6.00. Some people choose to buy the $3 cereal and some people choose to buy the $6 cereal. Why would some people buy the $6 cereal?

This is simple economics.

You learned that simple economics from me. It's what I've been saying all along that you earlier denied. The cost of housing is not as much supply and demand than it is the cost of labor, supplies and material.

No, you’re still missing the point.

Why would someone spend more on cereal? Are they going to pay twice the amount for cereal because that brand of cereal costs more? You, the consumer, can purchase the cheaper cereal or the more expensive cereal regardless of which one has more expensive labor costs.

Why would anyone purchase the more expensive cereal when they have the choice to purchase the cheaper cereal?

This is simple economics. Why can’t you answer this?

The more expensive cereal would never sell next to the cheaper cereal.

But if a box of cereal costs $3.00 here because it costs $2.00 to make, and the same cereal costs $6.00 there because it costs $5.00 to make, then the reason for the price difference is the labor, price of ingredients, transportation and utility costs. It's not because the cereal is any better there than here.

Yea I don’t envy people dealing with those interest rates.

How would you like 17%? That was the rate I had to pay when I bought my first home in 1979. I remember when it was an absolute dream come true when interest rates got down to 12%, I ran to the nearest mortgage company to get it refinanced.

Yea and the home was valued at a fraction of what it would go for today.
