Prudes are never rational. This is the point. Prudity laws are relics from the past where laws were passed that had no practcal application, didn't prevent any tangible harm, and were based on religious strictures, not the common good.

There are basically two kinds of prudes. The religious prudes believe the body to be vile, an enticement for sinful thoughts and forbidden pleasures and it must be concealed to deny the gratification of the flesh.

Porn prudes are rarely religious. This kind has conditioned their minds through pornography to see real people as hideous by unfair comparison to models they view in internet porn pictures and motion clips. This second kind, just as perverted as the first, has popped up several times throughout this thread.

Both are perversions, products of a disordered view of the human body, casting it as both obscene and an object of intense, inordinate desire. This diseased mindset represents the axiom of American attitude toward nudity that goes to such ridiculous extremes that diaper changes happen behind closed doors, naked toddlers on the beach draw police complaints, and women are savaged for breastfeeding in public.

It's time these sick people stop calling the shots!
