For the last couple of decades it’s been very apparent to people of reason that Christian extremists are working to assume control of the government. They would then establish religious laws (much like the Muslims’ Sharia Law) to force their oppressive and repressive agenda on all citizens.
The Republican Party has helped the extremists recruit followers by convincing the simple-minded conservatives that there is a “War on Christians” happening in the U.S. “Merry Christmas” has become a rallying cry for these religious nuts because many Americans use the all inclusive “Happy Holidays” during the holiday season. After all, Christmas is NOT the only religion celebration during those months. But this has no meaning to the Christian “Crazies” who want to believe they are being oppressed and robbed of their right to freedom of choice.
Trump has given the Christian Crazies his thumbs-up with his threat to repeal the Johnson Amendment. (See the link below.) Just imagine, the Christian extremists being given the power to choose what our children are taught in the public schools. (Oh yeah, this is already happening in some southern states.)
The Christian extremists have made it their goal to send this country back in time, to hide all scientific knowledge (except that of how to make better weapons for war) from the coming generations. Their disdain for education and educated people coupled with their willful ignorance exceeds that of average conservative white working class knuckle-draggers.
Unfortunately, open carry laws are more important to most Christian conservatives than the United States’ ability to remain competitive in the world’s economy. But this does not surprise rational people, they realize that maintaining consistent growth in all fields of scientific knowledge is most important in this era of technology.
Conservatives continue to wave their big foam “We’re Number One” fingers, completely unaware that the U.S. ranks far behind other developed nations in math, reading, and science. Their willful ignorance is on display everywhere in day-to-day life, and they defend their choice to remain uneducated and unaware with pride.
