But the car thieves, burglars, and dealers are being released from jail. Those are the most common.

"The implementation of the new rule equates to the potential release of thousands of inmates statewide. There is concern that with many more criminals out on the street, crime will increase. Car thieves, burglars and narcotics dealers are among the most common types of inmates being released in Ventura County. As always, people should take steps to keep their homes and vehicles locked, and their valuables out of sight. They should also report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods right away."

Those who were in jail were there because of their selfishness and inconsiderateness, therefore, why shouldn't they be given the same treatment that they were giving other people first? The best way for evil to triumph is for good to stand there and let them get away with it. Because there are sadly some people out there who won't change no matter what, exactly what good can actually come from them being released?

God bless you and their victims always!!!

What IMHO is a scandal is why hasn't Paul Manafort been released yet? An elderly , non-violent, disabled First Time Offender. Someone very unlikely to re-offend, and someone with prominent, respected friends in the community that could be willing to offer Mr. Manafort opportunities to support himself and avoid returning to a life in crime.

In my neighborhood there is a family that has two sons. They use heroin and fit the release description. We all know what happens when those guys are out of jail. Anything not locked down disappears. I'm not kidding. Neighbors complained of items like potted plants, garden tools, kids toys, etc. gone. Talk about low lifes.

Big fish, that one.

I don't think that the public needs to be protected from Mr. Manafort at all. I would have no problem hiring him to count money, or work with disabled people. The chance of him robbing a joint or raping someone is very, very small. Better, IMHO, to have him serve probation and and be rehabilitated. With his incredible experience, I bet he could be trained to become a News Contributor or in another line of work and become a productive member of society. Ditto, BTW, with Roger Stone.
