The younger generation have become Wusses!

LOL. Every older generation has said the same of every younger generation since the beginning of time. Same was said of the younger generation of young men in England in the 1930's, those same young men that stopped the Nazi might in the sky's of England.

Now this old man rubs shoulders with this new generation every week in college classes. I find them to be admirable young people generally, ones that have a more accurate view of the world than we did 50 years ago because of the knowledge readily available to them. And I find most of the people belly aching about these kids mostly to be dried up prunes, irrelevant of their age.

I agree that the vast vast majority of this generation are NOT "wusses" but again as the theme of this thread..
Oh and by the way I don't go to college anymore as in that situation the VAST VAST Majority of instructors are totally biased and subjective.
Far fewer people like this professor...at Missouri.
MU Nutrition & Exercise associate professor Dale Brigham's email challenges them to come to class, saying "If you give into bullies, they win. The only way bullies are defeated is by standing up to them. If we cancel the exam, they win; if we go through with it, they lose."
Update: Resignation not accepted from MU professor who sent email | KOMU.com | Columbia, MO |

In “The Coddling of the American Mind,” Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt argued that too many college students engage in “catastrophizing,” which is to say, turning common events into nightmarish trials or claiming that easily bearable events are too awful to bear. After citing examples, they concluded, “smart people do, in fact, overreact to innocuous speech, make mountains out of molehills, and seek punishment for anyone whose words make anyone else feel uncomfortable.”
The New Intolerance of Student Activism

Now OLD rocks use some scholastic efforts and validate the above links rather then have the biased closed mind that the VAST VAST majority of
college educators exhibit!

The vastly disproportionate presence of leftist professors on university campuses across the United States has been well documented.
One of the first studies on this subject was conducted in 2003 by the Center for the Study of Popular Culture (CSPC, now called the David Horowitz Freedom Center), which examined the ratio of registered Democrats to registered Republicans on the faculties of 32 elite colleges and universities nationwide.
In its examinations of more than 150 departments and upper-level administrations at the 32 colleges and universities, the CSPC found that the overall ratio of registered Democrats to registered Republicans was greater than than 10-to-1 (1,397 Democrats, 134 Republicans). Although in the nation at large, registered Democrats and Republicans were roughly equal in number, not a single department at any of the 32 schools managed to achieve anything even remotely approaching parity in party affiliations.

2 of 10 Americans call themselves liberals...
The American public is significantly more likely to identify as conservative or moderate than as liberal, leaving a situation in which about 4 in 10 Americans call themselves conservative, 4 in 10 call themselves moderates, and only about 2 in 10 call themselves liberal.
Most Americans Identify as Either Conservative or Moderate

SO old rocks CONSIDER what you are being taught as well as these students by a extremely liberal biased educators who are in the ignorance of
real life ...remember the adage "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach"!

So YOU old codger consider the FACTS you are learning obsolete, cliched information presented by BIASED proven BIASED people!

Agreed that the vast majority of "students" are not doing protest dances but they also are doing nothing to counter that shit. Because they're docile it's only fair that they, too, be denied education by having all schools under protest simply close for the year.

Close.

No academic credit for incomplete courses.

No refunds.

Reapply next year and pay a damn big application fee.

Maybe those sincerely interested in learning will do a little education of the overprivileged little pukes who are screwing it up for everyone.
