Things Dictators all Have in Common

Dictators, past and present, are so much alike. It's because the mental illness is the same. They all want to be worshipped. There are portraits and sometimes statues of them everywhere. They have their own symbols or flags. They all want an unarmed and obedient populace. They control media and, therefore, information. That is necessary to keep people in line by shaping their opinions on virtually everything. No dictator allows any negative information about themselves to be reported or even discussed by people. It is treated like a crime if people criticize the tyrants. Prisons are full of political dissenters, as are cemeteries.

Some of these concepts are creeping into the U.S. We have hate speech laws that keep getting expanded to include the slightest criticism of certain groups.

We have leaders wanting to disarm the public.

We have a current pres with his own symbol.

We have a bias media trying to shape public opinion rather than report facts.

No difference between this guy, Bowl Cut Jr. and many other tyrants.

"Mugabe, who has ruled since 1980, let 92 balloons into the air to start the festivities held at the historical Great Zimbabwe monument, about 15 miles from downtown Masvingo. During the televised event, school children performed military drills and recited poetry praising Mugabe and criticizing western nations.

Speaking for more than an hour, Mugabe criticized the political jockeying in his party, saying younger members who have spoken out against his wife Grace's growing power must be disciplined.

"It is shameful the way Mrs. Mugabe is being criticized," he said, accusing them of leaking scandals to the press. "Who may be the enemy among us?"

Mugabe also wants his birthday declared a national holiday."

And this guy is considered the most educated leader. Education does not equal intelligence.

And he is racist.

Liberal "Tolerance" When it Comes to Free Speech

Yup, free speech is great IF you agree with them. Opposing views are labeled as either radical or hate speech and they do their best to limit or stop it. We see it on college campuses across the country. They protest and cancel speeches by conservatives, like Conda Rice and Ben Shapiro. Opposing views are treated as threats and something students should be protected from through safe spaces and constant censorship. We wouldn't want anyone traumatized by learning that there actually are other views. Denying students the opportunity to hear from each side equally is simply a tactic to produce Dem voters. From Common Core to liberals teaching their own views rather than accurate history and current events, there is an attempt to indoctrinate our youth. This is no different than what dictators have always done. Having free-thinking people who like to see both sides and make up their own minds is not condusive to tyranny.

Dem state convention in California had this sign outside. So, free speech is now treated the same as smoking. You cannot do it inside buildings or close to people and instead must go to a remote area. That is how "dangerous" things, like smoking and opposing views, are treated by the left.

What's wrong with protesting a speech?

Quarantining dissent / How the Secret Service protects Bush from free speech
When President Bush travels around the United States, the Secret Service visits the location ahead of time and orders local police to set up "free speech zones" or "protest zones," where people opposed to Bush policies (and sometimes sign-carrying supporters) are quarantined. These zones routinely succeed in keeping protesters out of presidential sight and outside the view of media covering the event.

Nothing is wrong with protesting. Everything is wrong with trying to stop speech.

That is wrong. As long as protesters are peaceful and not threatening anyone or getting in the way, they have a right. We've seen tons of footage of people protesting Repubs since the media thrives on covering that. We see little of the protesters against liberal ideas because the media thinks it looks bad.

There is a huge difference in the way media portrays left vs right. There is a double standard. While that exists on both sides of the aisle, the media makes it worse by legitimizing one and vilifying the other.
