Think Twice Before You Flip Somebody Off.....

Nah. Hand signals are acceptable while driving. Driving badly is never acceptable.

Driving badly is the the norm in California :D

California is the best state to learn driving skills, in my opinion. I learned them there, and have a spotless driving record. I leaned defensive driving in CA and boy has that come in handy...lol.

I think Vegas has the worst drivers.

I think Rhode Island has the worst drivers. :D

Check this out Vik! Neither Vegas or Rhode Island are the worst. Lol!

North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming are the most dangerous states, with over 20 deaths per 100,000 people each. Meanwhile, more densely populated areas tend to be safer. New York had about 6 deaths per 100,000 people, Massachusetts about 5 per 100,000, and in Washington D.C., there were only about 2 deaths per 100,000 people.

The good news is that, for the most part, roads have been getting safer. In every state except for Vermont and North Dakota, there was a drop in road deaths between 2005 and 2012. Nevada had about a 47% drop in deaths per capita, and DC had an incredible 73% drop.

Las Vegas is home to large number of gambling junkies. On Friday afternoon/evening after work, these junkies are in a great rush to get to casinos and in the process they cause lots of accidents. The bad drivers in Las Vegas were very noticeable. Bu I agree Nevada as a whole is perhaps not that bad.

I can imagine. Probably a lot of drunk drivers too, considering all of the establishments that serve alcohol.

In lots of cases the drivers were under the influence of class A drugs.

It being a tourist attraction and bringing in people from all over the place has a lot to do with all of these things, I'm sure.

It also has large number of party minded professionals such as strippers, bartenders, showgirls, party pit dealers and you get the idea. These folks tend to have issues with DUI - not all of them, of course.

That's because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. :D

ND, Montana, and Wyoming have lots of isolated roads that encourage high speeds, mountain roads with tight curves and often no shoulders (or guardrails!), and a large amount of wildlife on the road. THAT is a major cause of the traffic deaths. Hitting an elk at 80MPH is a lot worse than hitting the cabbie that cut you off at 20MPH!
