And you did not answer my question.......since she went to a gun store and passed multiple background checks to buy all of those guns.......how would making her get a background check when she bought a gun from an individual have stopped her...since...you know.....the current background check at the licensed gun dealer didn't stop her....and since the individual would be going to that same gun store to have the exact same background check done......how would that have changed anything?

And it is already against the law to buy a gun for a felon...this felon knew that when he had her buy the guns...so when he was caught with just one of the guns.....he could already be arrested under existing law......so how would universal background checks have stopped any of this.....?

Yep.....the only reason anti gunners want universal background checks is so that when they fail to stop criminals and mass shooters, they can then call for universal registration of guns.....since they will then say that registration of guns is the only way to make universal background checks work....then, years later...when that also fails...they will call for the ban or confiscation of guns...using the registration lists they got all those years before....this is how Germany, Britain and Australia did it...

A federal grand jury indicted a 74-year-old woman for straw buying more than a dozen guns, the Justice Department announced this week.

Tamyra Gudzinas, 74, of Hubbard, Pennsylvania, bought guns on 14 occasions from retailers in the Youngstown and Warren areas over the last five months of 2015, according to court documents. The guns included 11 Glocks, three Sig Sauer pistols and two AR-15 rifles.

On federal paperwork for the background checks, she stated that she was the intended owner, but investigators say she bought them for another person at the urging of Elie J. Faraj, 31, of Youngstown, Ohio, according to court documents.

Faraj cannot possess firearms under federal law because of his 2012 felony conviction for cocaine possession.

Investigators think Faraj walked Gudzinas through the first fraudulent gun buy at a Gander Mountain location in nearby Warren on Aug. 24, according to court documents. The guns were then moved to a third party or parties who were not identified by name.

I have stated repeatedly that current background checks at licensed gun dealers are fine...but useless......and they need to be made quicker, more accurate and leave no permanent record.....and they should simply use your current drivers license or other form of government I.D....on a pass/fail test.....

Okay...a more pointed question....say we had universal background checks.....and this woman goes to an individual to buy a gun....for the felon. She goes and the seller takes her to the same gun store, they fill out the same federal background check paperwork, she passes...since she has a clean record...he sells her the gun/guns......
