I'm so happy that I don't do FB...my mom got into it with my cousin over politics on FB, and I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. If a friend or family member gave me shit to a point that I had enough, then I'd just tell them to drop it. I have way too many liberal people in my life to want to risk those relationships over one aspect when we have so many other things to enjoy about each other. I'm so happy that I don't do FB...my mom got into it with my cousin over politics on FB, and I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. I have been blessed thus far. For one thing, everybody who knows me knows my heart. They know it is right there on my sleeve. They don't view my perceptions as that of the opposition.

All who are conservatives knew my mom as well. They knew me from church, and have known me since I was 14. I think that goes a long way in their perceptions of me, and why I think and believe as I do.

Note: My mom was very conservative. But she literally would give the coat off her back, buy good running junkers, put down damage deposits, take people grocery shopping - anything. If they needed, she was there.

My mindset re: the government and taxes is for the most part "all of us together can do more to help than any one of us can individually."

I am from the Space Coast. It is not dead, it is not a wasteland. It benefitted for many years with a very large employer - NASA. Now that it's more important to give even more tax breaks to billionaires than explore space, the area has suffered.

But there are still MANY major employers, such an Northrop Grumman, Harris Corporation, Health First, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell, Intersil, and many others.

It also has a great tourist industry, especially Cocoa Beach and Indialantic.

And it's still the best place in Florida to live.

As for your ACA hysterics, I just don't have the energy this morning to once again debunk all of the Right-Wing lies. Sorry.

I tell ya, if you lose friends just becasue you have differing opinions...... then it was not a very good friendship to start with. The problem comes when you have to be RIGHT, or that your opinion is the ONLY way. Not everyone agrees on what is right and what is the best way.
