Well … My friends and I love each other for who we are … Not who we want other people to be.
We disagree, but don't mind talking about it … It is part of us and our everyday lives.
I don't give a crap if one of my best friends is a dyed in the wool Progressive Liberal that pretends to be an Independent when we are talking politics … If he needs help splitting a cord of wood, I am there with gloves.

My friends are teachers, lawyers, tradesmen, executives, ranchers and business owners … We are there for each other through thick and thin … And Facebook is just another way to share what is important in our lives.

My dad in law who is a die hard liberal pro Obama and still thinks Bush didn't win the state Floridian was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.

He's a serious union dude and now undergoing chemo. We don't talk politics anymore.

He worked at NASA all of his last years.

The Space Coast is dead. It's a wasteland. The big unions who voted for Obama are now moving their families out. Nothing left.

But Joe voted for him a second time believing in the Obamacare mission.

Joe is now not answering the phone over his health care plan. We're trying to see if he's still got one.
Not quite in a panic, but will be by tomorrow to see where we stand here.

I am from the Space Coast. It is not dead, it is not a wasteland. It benefitted for many years with a very large employer - NASA. Now that it's more important to give even more tax breaks to billionaires than explore space, the area has suffered.

But there are still MANY major employers, such an Northrop Grumman, Harris Corporation, Health First, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell, Intersil, and many others.

It also has a great tourist industry, especially Cocoa Beach and Indialantic.

And it's still the best place in Florida to live.

As for your ACA hysterics, I just don't have the energy this morning to once again debunk all of the Right-Wing lies. Sorry.

I get treated that way on a daily basis by almost all those acquaintances I have that consider themselves liberals. Discuss politics, and they cease being friends and actually go red in the face, foaming at the mouth, lunatics.

The ones I now consider nothing but animals, I taunt just to see if they will stroke out.

To paint any one group as intolerant in the face of both groups intolerance is really turning a blind eye to reality.

I tell ya, if you lose friends just becasue you have differing opinions...... then it was not a very good friendship to start with. The problem comes when you have to be RIGHT, or that your opinion is the ONLY way. Not everyone agrees on what is right and what is the best way.

I am right, for Me. The problem stems from people who think that OTHERS have to agree they are right too.

I know I'm right, but I really don't care if anyone else agrees with that or not. That is how you can have friends with people of differing opinions. You voice what you think is right, and then move on, not holding their beliefs against them.

Many people simply cannot live with the notion that someone thinks or believes differently than they do, and they simply lose their mind over it.

I agree with you. I am totally non-political (apolitical?) on FB, during the few times I log in (about once ever two weeks). It can only bring a negative.
