My brother worked in Switzerland for 4 years. Same town she lived in. I'm sure she lived in a mansion. My brothers place was pretty fucking amazing too. Right on Lake Zurich. It always fascinated me that she moved there. No blacks live there. It is an amazingly beautiful place but why did she decide to live out her life there? Did she have a lover who lived there? Why did she leave the USA? I would love to know the answer to these questions.83? Holy crap I didn't realize that she was that old. RIP your majesty.

One of my regrets in life is I didn't go. Had a shitty job and I couldn't take that time off. My brother was even going to pay for my flight.Maybe she just got tired of the constant attention and adulation and wanted peace and quiet.
My Dad's been doing it for about 15 years now with Mom, watching her get worse. He's not ready to get somebody to give regular help either. My brothers and I get up to see them and give him a break when we can, but it's mostly on him. Add to that, she's very hard of hearing, which makes her isolation even worse.One of my regrets in life is I didn't go. Had a shitty job and I couldn't take that time off. Plus my mom had Alzheimers and I don't think I would have left my dad alone for 3 weeks. That cheap mother fucker refused to hire someone to watch her for 8 hours a day so he could rest or go shopping. Instead he just relied on me. So I would watch her for 1-2 hours a day. I don't know how he did it 22/7 for 5 years.

Aretha Franklin was the "Queen of Soul".We should all hope to have such a long and fulfilling life as she had.

No doubt. Switzerland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The people who live there don't like foreigners. There is a section where rich foreigners and ex pats live. My brother said the natives would look at you with disgust.We should all hope to have such a long and fulfilling life as she had.
