If Dems pressure the DA's office to demand jail time, and demand the judge carry it out, they risk turning Trump into a cult hero to younger voters, who will view Trump as a 'Dexter Morgan', a 'Jack Sparrow', a 'Walter White' or some other antihero. Someone, younger voters might relate to more easily, and become attracted to.
Face it, existing Trump supporters, will stay in place, but if Trump's new found celebrity gets him another few points from other sources, he will win.

On the other hand, if the strategy turns to not asking for jail time, then the DA, the judge, and the Dems expose to the world, that the entire trial was simply an escapade to tie the hands of Trump, preventing him from focusing on his presidential run.

What to do?!

He is unlikely to go to jail. That type of felony, on a first conviction with no prior history, seldom results in actual prison time. Not asking for it is a reflection of that.

That’s up to the judge, not Democrats. MAGA propaganda alert!

Imagine all the lawsuits current prisoners would file due to the massive logistical and safety concerns required to accommodate Secret Service. Such accommodations would stretch the resources of already overcrowded facilities to the breaking point. Go for it.

Since fines mean nothing to Trump, then I would figure the probation officer would recommend home confinement. and/or community service.

Make him stay in a cheap hotel with no room service. That’ll teach him.

If the fatman gets community service you might see him on the side of the road wearing his favorite color...

...but this is all about the heightened intensity and wickedness of the democrats and they are stewing in a broth of demonic revelry. The judge has NO WHERE to go with it at this point except to fulfill the cup of abomination .... he will say 34 years in prison, but since 20 years is the max that will be the sentence.

This judge is possessed by witches, he will do what they control him to do. They have him under the same spell they put Mike Pence under, remember that fly during the debate?

I would not be at all surprised if the prosecutors asked for jail time. I would be surprised if they got it.

You’re delusional! Up the meds.

Oh I definitely think the Dems should jail him. What's the problem? He's a "convicted felon". Go for it.

Let's look at the particulars. For one, they WAY undersampled Republicans in the YouGov poll.

In a YouGov snap poll conducted just hours after the verdict was announced, 50 percent of the 3,040 U.S. adults who were polled said they believed Trump was guilty, while 30 percent said they believed he was not guilty. Another 19 percent said they were not sure. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.3 percent.

When broken down into party lines, 15 percent of Republicans think he is guilty while 64 percent do not, 48 percent of independents think Trump is guilty while 25 percent do not, and 86 percent of Democrats believe he is guilty while 5 percent do not. A total of 831 Republicans, 1,114 independents, and 1,113 Democrats were surveyed. The margin of error of the subgroups are unclear.

Not exactly great numbers here either, with an I margin error of 4%

A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted between Thursday and Friday found that 5 percent of Republicans and 21 percent of independents said they are much less likely to vote for Trump because of the jury's ruling. Meanwhile, 30 percent of Republicans and 13 percent of independents said the verdict made them much more likely to vote for Trump. However, the majority of Republicans (55 percent), independents (58 percent), and Democrats (58 percent) said the verdict didn't change their minds on whether or not to vote for the former president.

The subsample of Republicans was 828 U.S. adults (with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percent), independents was 708 (with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.0 percent), and Democrats was 774 (with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percent).

Your next step is to start removing him from ballots all over the country.

Planned political persucution. 1st appeal in Dem controlled judges, eventually to SCOTUS.

The BS law used to back door this rigged garbage had a 2 year Statue of limitations. Was only a misdomeaner charge. Max 5000 per charge fine.
