How is it possible for one kid who's poor and doesn't speak English to completely outperform another kid who's poor but grew up with English as their first language? To be quite blunt...those Vietnamese kids didn't use racism as an excuse nor did they use not knowing the language as an excuse! You want to know why black kids fail in school?
