Trump funnels record subsidies to farmers

Rather the money goes to hard working farmers who feed us rather than welfare rats

It's not just the Rats. It's the Democraps as well. But not to worry, you food price won't go up. Well, not much, anyway.

We can afford it... you'll need government assistance......think hard

Hey, I vote for gas prices to go to 8 bucks a gallon. Why should the EU have all the fun?

Gas taxes should be set at funding the roads. No other taxpayer money should be spent on roads and no gas taxes should be spent for any purpose other than roads. And close tool booths, a second infrastructure to tax the same people.

Then just set the tax at that point where drivers are funding the roads

And you just came up with the EU secret to success. Great roads and high Fuel Prices. BTW, I agree with you.

But think of this, most of the Food and other supplies are delivered by Trucks. One Heavy truck does more wear and tear on the bridges and roads than 2000 Honda Civics do. One of the ways to subsidize the damage the trucks do to the Roads and bridges is to charge them a fraction to register for the road and then make up the difference is to spread the remainder to all the thousands of cars. If you were to charge the Trucks like they should be, the cost of that loaf of bread would be 20 or 30 bucks. And TP would be so out of reach, we would be scowering the forests for Pine Cones..

Where do you get that Europe has better roads? I find them to be pretty comparable to ours
Everything is better in Europe....Right up to the point that you tell these sniveling moonbats to pack their shit up and move there...Then Murica suddenly isn't all that bad.

And when can I expect you to call that Uhaul and pack your stuff? Murica would like to know. Maybe after November 4th when you know your welcome has been withdrawn.

Interesting factoid for you. You can't drive to Europe from here. You can't rent a UHaul and move there. I like it from the guy who claimed to know European roads are better, as if you'd know

I'm sure that the upcoming election has no bearing on this...right?

For the American farmers President Trump counts on for support, the government money is flowing faster than ever.
Federal payments to farmers are projected to hit a record $46 billion this year as the White House funnels money to Mr. Trump’s rural base in the South and Midwest ahead of Election Day.
The gush of funds has accelerated in recent weeks as the president looks to help his core supporters who have been hit hard by the double whammy of his combative trade practices and the coronavirus pandemic. According to the American Farm Bureau, debt in the farm sector is projected to increase by 4 percent to a record $434 billion this year and farm bankruptcies have continued to rise across the country.
Farmers are not the only constituency benefiting from the president’s largess: He has promised $200 prescription drug cards to millions of seniors, approved $13 billion in aid to Puerto Rico, which could help his prospects in Florida, and he directed his Agriculture Department include letters signed by him in millions of food aid boxes that are being distributed to the poor.

“There are both economic and political motivations for these payments,” said Patrick Westhoff, who directs University of Missouri’s agriculture research center.

Last week, the Office of Special Counsel determined that Mr. Trump’s Agriculture secretary, Sonny Perdue, had improperly used his position to push the president’s re-election by promising more help for farmers. At an August event in North Carolina, Mr. Perdue violated ethics laws when he promoted Mr. Trump’s re-election during remarks about the Farmers to Families Food Box Program, saying: “That’s what’s going to continue to happen — four more years — if America gets out and votes for this man, Donald J. Trump.”

Pussygrabbber should not have bankrupted farmers to begin with...

Someone should. The skirt strings that are pulled are for the Family Farmers but the ones that get the most of the Subsidies aren't even in farming. They are share holders. It's another Corporate Welfare Scheme. Fact is, it's just another case of Rump trying to turn his losing campaign around and getting badly needed advertising funds. but it's a bit later for that. Remember, I said that 93% of the farmers are Family Farmers and they voted heavily for Rump last time. The Promise to help either was at a such small level or totally non existant that many are not voting for him this time around. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice and shame on me.
do you have evidence to support this claim?

factually, it was obammy's regulations, but hey why ruin a stupid post.

The political term 'funnels" generally indicates political subterfuge and some nefarious agenda but farmers, freaking farmers grow and raise the stuff we need to stay alive. It's another post that belongs in the conspiracy forum or the freaking rubber room.
Apparently you didn't read the article. Political subterfuge and hidden agendas are the subject. Trump is greasing his wheels, as it were. We don't eat tobacco..btw.

From the OP article:

Not all farmers received special payouts during the last three years, but the Trump administration has recently moved to ensure that those in critical states do not miss out.

That includes the tobacco industry, which was prohibited from receiving any of the trade assistance because of legal restrictions against subsidizing the sector. In September, the Agriculture Department quietly shifted some of the funds that were allocated to its Commodity Credit Corporation fund — which legally cannot subsidize tobacco — into a separate account that can bankroll the crop. Tobacco farmers will receive up to $100 million in payments, easing some of the financial pain that has been felt particularly hard in the battleground state of North Carolina.

The administration’s efforts have not erased the economic malaise and frustration among America’s farmers, who have seen sales fall and bankruptcies rise. The overall payouts have been large, but they have not always gone to the farmers who need them most. Critics, including both Democrat and Republican lawmakers, have argued that small farmers have missed out on the bulk of the bailout, while large and some foreign-owned farms have benefited.
Stop your whining so annoying.. if trump found a cure for cancer you would still
Complain
Trump did, BTW, Wuhan 19

Trump isn’t the first potus to buy votes using taxpayer dollars and he won’t be the last.

The solution is terminating the federal government and everyone in it, then start anew.

No
That's not the solution for sane people.

Good. I like to eat as do you. Farmers produce food. Good for Trump.

Yay socialism.

You keep using that word.
I do not think that it means what you think that it means.

Trump tapping into his supporters enthusiasm for socialism.
You don't know the difference between socialism and Keynesian Economics
Trump is not running a Keynesian Economy. He is a crony capitalist stealing money & bailing out his favorite Zombie companies.

The US economy is 70% consumer based & only 11% manufacturing. So best way to stimulate is to put more money into the hands of consumers during recessions & lower deficits during boom times.

Republican economics caused 10 JOB KILLING RECESSIONS in the last 63 years!!!
Democrats only had recession 1 in 71 years!!!
Every Republicant president in History caused JOB KILLING RECESSIONS!!!!!!

Hmm

I think that there is.

All human behavior exists on a continuum therefore the entirety of the continuum is "normal" human behavior. If all behaviors are "normal" there is for all intents and purposes no normal.

Farm subsides need to be done away with.
I enjoy food.

You incorrectly assume that ending farm subsidies would end all farms.

actually, it controls the flow of food, so food isn't sitting in silos rotting. Fields planting different crop when that crop is needed. so many other programs that bring food to the grocer.

Your links are laughable. trade, fk china.
and every program known to man is corrupt. every fking one of them. shut it all down. Why give GM a bailout? what was that about? I never agreed to that. What about Chrysler earlier? What about all the green initiative subsidies? I never see any one of you anti farmers shitting on those programs. Stop spending period. stop it all then. use that mantra,

To Democrats, feeding the poor is evil when Trump does it.
They stand for nothing.

They are supposedly for peace and Trump is the most peaceful President....maybe ever.

They supposedly care about the blacks, and Trump did more for THE BLACKS in less than a year than obama did in 8. Yet, supposedly the most racist President ever and a nazi even though Israel named a train station after Trump.

Supposedly Trump took the China disease lightly when I keep posting the compilation of the left wing media attacking Trump for saying the coronavirus was worse than the flu and called him racist for cutting travel from China.

We could imagine what these losers would say if he didn't get bailouts to the farmers.
